24 Hours before Woodlarks walk now less than £1300 shy of £25,000 target to see BMD walk in underwear

Published 27 July 2018, 16:43

Two days before the great Woodlarks walk for charity we reached our £20,000 target thanks to numerous donations big and small. Among those chipping in material amounts this weej were Mark Slater, Jim Mellon and my Mrs, and we thank them and you all. But we continue to ask those who have not donated to chip in as we up our target to £25,000 and here’s why...

Photo Article: Woodlarks Christmas Grotto appeal from Tom Winnifrith - thank you appeal closed

Published 18 October 2018, 15:06

Once again I asked you for a small Christmas donation for Woodlarks. Once again you were very generous. I thank you. Every year our hero Nick Richards (below) and a team of volunteers build a special Santa's grotto at the Woodlarks campsite. Last year we had over 200 children from special needs schools and children’s hospices visit the site for a great day out which culminated in each getting a present from Santa. we aim to do the same again (or more) in 2018. But, as you know, Woodlarks has very little cash and this costs about £2,500 to put on. So... well you did it. With gift aid we have just over £3,000 raised to ensure the best grotto yet. Thank you all for your generosity.

Another Letter to Sefton Boss Jim Ellerton with a 5 more questions

Published 12 May 2013, 07:38

On Thursday I sent a letter by email to Sefton Resources (SER) boss Jim Ellerton asking him to apologise to me for his company’s smear campaign against me and to make a small personal donation to the excellent Woodlarks Charity.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: a Missing cat and an attempt to shut down this website

Published 30 April 2019, 17:54

It has not been a good day. Firstly the Mrs left a door not fully closed and two cats have become one, Quincey has gone AWOL. Then I had to watch a crazy cat woman Carole Cadwalladr video for the sake of Woodlarks. Finally we have suffered a DOS attack. Someone does not like our exposes of fraud and malpractice. We will not be silenced. As you consider my Cadwalladr suffering please donate to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE. In the podcast I cover Neil Woodford, Xeros (XSG), Eight Peaks (8PG), Alien Metals (UFO), African Battery Metals (ABM), Countrywide (CWD), Purplebricks (PURP) and the quoted housebuilders.

The Morning Dew, the last-minute rain, my amazing neighbours & a snake – final report on the Woodlarks walk

Published 14 June 2020, 18:02

With gift aid we are now just a few hundred quid shy of raising the £48,000 needed to ensure that amazing Woodlarks can survive the Covid lockdown and continue its work next year. So if you have donated I thank you and if not please do so HERE. It would be great to end the weekend with the job done. The Mrs and Darren combined to put up a few photos of yesterday’s 33.3 mile walk so here is the full story.

Photo article: rogue Bloggers 18 mile training walk to wonderful waterfall but disaster back at the Welsh Hovel so article problems

Published 21 May 2023, 16:38

As I left the Welsh Hovel this morning I thought that I smelled gas at the top of the street. I thought little of it for an 18 mile training walk was planned and I had left early without any procrastination. I pressed on.

Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks – 90%+ of you yet to donate: c’mon how about just a tenner as 11 prepare to walk

We have two new volunteers for June 17th and the 34 mile walk from Winchester Cathedral to Woodlarks. The far more photogenic of the two is pictured below.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - talking to one of the 3 X's for almost an hour

Published 28 June 2018, 08:49

The 3Xs are the fraudbusters best friends. In this case it was one of Julie Meyer's 3Xs and a new source. we chatted for just under an hour. More to follow. Oh dear, poor Ms Lingerie on Expenses MBE. In the podcast I look at UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), Purplebricks (PURP), Frontera (FRR), FastJet (FJET), MySquar (MYSQ) - where I have again contacted John Meyer urging him to get off his fat arse - Andalas (ADL) and Magnolia Petroleum (MAGP). The good news is that sponsorship of the walk I'm doing with Brokerman Dan for Woodlarks is now, with gift aid, at almost £11,000. I explain here why this walk makes the difference between Woodlarks having to cut services or carry on, please do give a tenner today.  Think of my pain - not least in having to hear Dan talk total bollocks about Andalas for whole day - and COUGH UP HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: David Lenigas needs to sort out his story on twitter - was he a UKOG placing insider or not?

Published 30 July 2018, 13:34

First of all thanks for all the kind comments on the Woodlarks walk. The final photos and my final thoughts are HERE. It is not too late to donate HERE and that is what David Lenigas should do now as he gets his twitter knickers in a twist over his pre-placing tweets on UK Oil & Gas (UKOG). He now says on twitter he was an insider -in the US that would be a perp walk admission. The shameless old ramper is now batting for Angus Energy (ANGS). Elsewhere I cover Optibiotix (OPTI) and the odd Midas call, Wolf Minerals (WLFE), N4 Pharma (N4P), Arden Partners (ARDN) and Goldplat (GDP). Back to Woodlarks: next year I seek volunteers to join the 4 rogue bloggers. I now have 4 (PR genius Steffi, daughter Olaf, my pal the Euro loon Jonathan Price and Steve Moore), if you are up for it email tomat49@gmail.com

ShareProphets Election coverage: Vote Liberal Democrat says Woodlarks walker Jonathan Price

If you are some SNP supporting sheep molester or cottage burning Taffy and want to bleat about not having your say, tough. This is about parties that are serious across the UK ....and also the Lib Dems. Our first contributor was lifelong Labour supporter Brian Basham, next was writer here and recently elected Conservative Councillor Chris 'three brains' Bailey and now it is Woodlarks walker Jonathan Price for the Lib Dems:

One last time, Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks Annual 34 mile walk – we are on!

Published 3 March 2023, 16:13

This will be the sixth walk and we have agreed the last. Maybe Lucian and I will do something different next year, maybe not. The old boy did turn 60 last year. The date is now set for June 17 and we will walk the 34 miles from Winchester to the Woodlarks camp. So far those signed up are:

Ariana – New Targets and The Great ShareProphets Duel!

Published 27 August 2021, 09:37

It was a fight to the death – well, not really for ShareProphets readers are far too civilised for that. In the blue corner we had Putneywill thinking that the massively long-awaited special dividend from Ariana Resources (AAU) would see the shares tick down by less than the dividend when it finally arrived. In the red corner we had Pierotlunaire arguing that it would not – and a bet ensued, with ShareProphets’ favourite charity Woodlarks the winner. The stats say there was a winner – but this is ShareProphets, where our readers operate by different standards, and it seems that in the end Woodlarks won one and a half times over.

(Just £171 short now) 95% of way to target after 3 days: Tom Winnifrith’s Woodlarks Christmas Appeal – if you can be generous please be generous

Published 29 November 2020, 13:42

I know that readers of this website have given so much to Woodlarks over the years. This summer the Rogue Bloggers walk saw us raise enough to ensure that this amazing charity will not go bust despite the lockdown which has been a disaster for it.  Activities are still massively constrained and the Christmas Grotto which brings unbelievable pleasure to 200 severely handicapped or very ill kids each year will have to be a virtual one this year. But it will still cost a few quid…
