Two days before the great Woodlarks walk for charity we reached our £20,000 target thanks to numerous donations big and small. Among those chipping in material amounts this weej were Mark Slater, Jim Mellon and my Mrs, and we thank them and you all. But we continue to ask those who have not donated to chip in as we up our target to £25,000 and here’s why...
Firstly, Lucian Miers, Brokerman Dan and myself will be joined on our 33 mile walk by a fourth rogue blogger, Andrew Bell of Red Rock Resources who claims to be uber fit after a recent boot camp. We know Andrew’s friends will wish to donate.
Secondly, Woodlarks got by on just £126,500 of income last year only by deferring vital capital spend which it can’t do forever and by running down its reserves which is also unsustainable. So every penny we raise counts.
And thirdly because Dan Levi says he will walk the last mile in his underwear if we have reached the new £25,000 target by the time we hit 32 miles.
The Woodlarks campsite is a special place where severely handicapped children and adults get to enjoy a once a year holiday treat. It is worth supporting and so I ask you, if you have not done so already, to chip in HERE
In advance, I thank you,
Tom Winnifrith
