Lombard Risk Management - headline blather excellent, but hidden cashburn terrifying
Under its old management led by John Wisbey, Lombard Risk Management (LRM) used to make profits and pay dividends. How fucking old hat and boring is that? Think like a millennial and get the cashburning vibe, that is the way forward and who better to do that than a man fired by Oracle (yet who boasts about his Oracle career ) & who was at the helm of a spectacular dotcom disaster, Phil "Interx" Crawford. Interims today score straight 10s for bullshit headline blather. But look at the hidden cashburn, extrapolate and panic.

Vela - Investments Update - hang on/average down
Since its loan note fundraising at 0.15p Vela (VELA) has been busy. Firstly it has invested £200,000 in THEVIBE. It trades as Vibe tickets and allows fans to buy and sell tickets for events at face value. It cuts out scalps and so is a good business and has been endorsed by Which. Whether it makes any money for investors is yet to be proved.

Rockhopper still has potential but you will need patience
Oil still has a long way to go before it is at a healthy level for many oil companies, but the recent rise back above $50 a barrel certainly seems to be creating some interest in the sector, at least for the time being.

UK Investor Show ‘Dragon’s Den’ Picks update - Gary Newman facing P45
At UK Investor Show there were five 'Dragon's Den' sessions where five CEOs each gave a five minute pitch and three Dragons each picked one stock in which FIML invested £1,000 via our most excellent broker J Herbert Esq at European Wealth. And so £15,000 was invested, how has it fared?

Crest Nicholson Should Build its Share Price after Unjustified Pressure
Hello share screamers. I've had mixed encounters with brokers this week. It looks as though TD Waterhouse is handing the reins to Interactive Investor. Not sure I'm happy about that. Then I bought some stock in my ordinary trading account instead of my ISA. It took TD a heck of a long time to sort that out and a helpful chap called Cal worked efficiently and tirelessly on my behalf. Thanks Cal.

Hotel Chocolat – “pleased” with full-year results, but valuation tasty?
Hotel Chocolat (HOTC) co-founder and CEO, Angus Thirlwell emphasises “I am very pleased with our performance since we were admitted to trading on AIM in May this year. Our results are strong, the Hotel Chocolat brand has continued to strengthen and we have made good progress with our three strategic priorities of investing further in our British chocolate manufacturing operations, growing our store estate and developing our digital offering”. Let’s take a look…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - PR bullshit phrase of the day j'accuse FTI Consulting
The bloody postman is today's interruption. Will you sign for this crap for the chavs who live next door as they are out (again) signing on or working in the black economy? Whatever. I should charge for being the postbox for this entire street. Better still emigrate. In terms of companies I look at Laird (LRD), Motorpoint (MOTR), Strat Aero (AERO), and Mkango (MKA)

Roland "Fatty" Cornish, a £270k dividend for failure and the oddest accounts on this planet
If you thought that the accounts of some of the crap Roland "fatty" Cornish floated on AIM smelled bad, you need to look at the annual report of his own firm Beaumont Cornish Limited. I shall be urging both the FCA and the HMRC to have a butchers as it looks well iffy. But if you have lost a packet in any, or all, of the junk Fatty has floated or acted for - not least Daniel Stewart and New World Oil & Gas - you will be delighted to know that in 2015 his "takings" from dividends alone were £270,000. How's that for transferring wealth from the 99% to the 1%?

New World Oil and Gas – AGM update, warns on delisting. Can the mess be sorted?
Last night after hours AIM-listed New World Oil and Gas updated the market on a number of matters and it looks to be bad news all round. Having already announced that its proposed RTO with Big Sofa was off the table, the latest bombshell was that under AIM Rules it is to lose its listing on 9 November and that it had already agreed to part company with its Nomad (the useless Beaumont Cornish) as from the close next Monday. The mess could hardly seem worse.

OneView Group – from “remains confident” to “likely to be below market expectations” in 6 weeks! …
“Winning its first hosted customer in the UK was a pivotal event for OneView (ONEV) in the first half of the year, creating an important new recurring revenue stream… The company continues to see strong interest in its software and is confident that the current pipeline will deliver growth in the future”. Sounds encouraging, but what? The shares currently down circa 30% to sub 4p? …

Could there ever be another ASOS in terms of share price gain? And if so what?
As I noted in bearcast yesterday I remember my old pal Mark Watson Mitchell tipping ASOS (ASC) at 7p. The shares hit a high of c£70 so that was a 1000 bagger for anyone who got their timing spot on and held. I doubt anyone did. But could there be another ASOS lurking out there on the London Stockmarket and if so what is it?

BREAKING: The Curse of those who challenge the Sheriff of AIM strikes again...
Oh dear it may well be ouzo o'clock round at Sheriff Towers if not all round coke & hookers time, as it has just been pointed out that one of those silly folks who made the mistake of trying it on with legal threats appears to be in a spot of bother. Congratulations, you have just met the Sheriff of AIM....

Interquest - share price slippage: Buy
Shares in Interquest (ITQ) slipped to 32p last week although they are now 33p-34p. I swapped emails with a rather glum chairman Gary Ashworth. Of course Gary is glum, as the largest shareholder his net wealth has been materially dented.

Gable - was the Liechtenstein Regulator asleep at the wheel for years?
The Insurance Times Article of 12 October 2016 HERE makes clear some insurance brokers were always wary of using Gable (GAH) for many years and were concerned that it was selling insurance cheaper than its main rivals and this might end badly.
