Wanna go on a demo comrade capitalist?

By Tom Winnifrith | Friday 20 September 2024

No its not #queersforPalestine who, incidentally, have been offered $1 million to hold a march in Gaza but for some reason seem reluctant to take the free money. Not does it involve gluing your testicles to a Barclays ATM to stop global warming. This is a demo for capitalists who are against the failures at the FCA.

It is organized by the Transparency Task Force and is called THE RALLY FOR BETTER FINANCIAL REGULATION. It is set to take place outside the Financial Conduct Authority’s Head Office on Thursday 26th September and it’s for people that believe that the FCA is not fit for purpose.

The old bill have said that this passes the two tier test and so as long as nobody sings Rule Britannia or waves a Union Flag without shouting “from the river to the Sea” there should be no issues. The FCA is holding an online “Annual Public Meeting” that morning to interact with the oks via zoom. . The rally starts after the zoom call at 12.30 PM at 12 Endeavour Square, London E20 1JN

The organisers will provide banners and placards but if you want to attend
you do need to register HERE.

There will be speeches from various folks. Not me. I am still backlisted for pointing out how the FT blew off Woodford for so many years only becoming critical when it was too late. If you have nothing better to do….
