Winnileaks Breaking News - Julie Meyer work permit (below) expires - will the Swiss turf her out too?

For obvious reasons, involving avoiding going to the slammer, Julie "Lingerie on expenses" Meyer is not heading back to the UK or Malta any time soon. In the US she has repeatedly lied to the IRS about those unpaid taxes from 2001 and so she will not be setting foot in the land of the free either. So what of her current bolt-hole: Switzerland? Well there is a problem as, thanks to Winnileaks, you can see below.

Her work permit has expired. Don't ask me how (smiley face), but I can assure you in my best German (Danke Frau Freeman aus Schule Warwick) that Immigration authorities are aware of this and the fact that there is now a UK High Court arrest warrant out for Ms Meyer and of a recent case in Singapore where the Judge slated her for lying under oath. Those Swiss chaps normally take a dim view of that sort of behaviour when it comes to deciding who gets to live in the land of Heidi and Cuckoo clocks.

And having lost more than a dozen civil cases in Switzerland against her former business partner with the judges, as per normal, slating her behaviour and mendacity, the word on the Street is that a criminal investigation in Zurich is on the launchpad. One suspects the immigtaion johnnies will not take too well to that either.

All of which means that Julie may soon be looking for a new home. And if it had not suffered enough in recent years poor old Greece gets the short straw since, despite telling the IRS and HMRC that she is penniless, Ms Meyer bought a million Euro villa on the island of Kea. One suspects she will be spending rather more time there in future.
