Synectics – “slightly ahead of market expectations” and further recovery on the way?

Security and surveillance systems company Synectics (SNX) has announced “second half profit is expected to be higher than in the first half, resulting in an underlying profit for the full year being slightly ahead of market expectations” with gross margins holding up well.
INX

i-nexus Global – “pleased to report on a year of solid progress”, Really?

Describing itself as “a leading provider of cloud-based Strategy software solutions designed for the Global 5000”, i-nexus Global (INX) has announced results for its year ended 30th September 2022 stating that it is “pleased to report on a year of solid progress”. So what is this “progress”?

EXPLOSIVE EXPOSE: TruSpine – Tracing History, Part Two

I have been getting more interested in Aquis lobster-potted TruSpine (TSP) every day – more particularly the people behind it. In part one I looked at CFO Norman Lott. Now I want to look at the inventor of TruSpine’s devices – Professor Frank Boehm. This will shock you.

Velocity Composites – “a major milestone” agreement?

Velocity Composites (VEL) has announced what it emphasises as “a major milestone” – “the signing of a five-year Work Package Agreement with GKN Aerospace in the United States expected to be worth in excess of US$100 million in revenue over five years”. What of a current share price response up more than 57% to 42.5p?

Verditek – the fraud will be bust by June.

It was only just over two years ago that shares in the fraud Verditek (VDTK) reached 18p at peak Mike Walters ramp. But, like so many stocks promoted by old mother Walters, Verditek was a fraud and now the shares are just 0.6p. This website has exposed the way Verditek has made announcements about big new contracts on a serial basis since 2017, ramped the shares, got a placing away only to ‘fess that the contract was bogus. The problem with frauds, as Mrs Thatcher might have said, is that eventually they run out of other people’s money. That point will arrive within months.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Falling out with my old college ( again) over Christmas

Oxford is so full of Godless liberal tossers these days. After a brief rant on that matter I look at the importance of December to the bars and restaurant trade and how this month will be awful. I suggest why the lack of profits warning Sarah Willingham is now sitting on will force a bailout placing at Nightcap (NGHT) - any takers at 4p? I also look at Tintra (TNT) and nanosynth (NNN) as it heads for zero.
MIRI

Mirriad Advertising – “thrilled to announce” partnership, attempted ramptastic?

Describing itself as a “leading in-content advertising company”, Mirriad Advertising (MIRI) states that it is “thrilled to announce our partnership with Scripps Networks”. Is it correct to be so?
INSG

Insig AI – “pleased to announce” interim results, should it be?

“Data science and machine learning solutions company serving the asset management industry”, Insig AI (INSG) states that it “is pleased to announce its unaudited interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2022 and to provide an update on the company's progress post the half year end”. So what of a share price response currently approaching 3% lower to 16.5p?
THRU

Thruvision – interims, “confidence” for profitable revenue growth?

People-screening technology group Thruvision (THRU) has announced results for its half-year ended 30th September 2022, emphasising “revenue was up 41% to £2.8 million” and US Customs and Border Protection “order backlog stood at £7.4 million ($8.3 million), and further non-CBP orders totalling £1.3 million have been received since. We expect to deliver most, if not all, of this order backlog during the second half of the financial year… on track to achieve its objective of breaking even at Adjusted EBITDA this financial year for the first time”. So what of a current little-changed just above 22p share price?

Vertu Motors really loves prospects in the South West of England

After being a bit ill a couple of years ago, the DVLA was absolutely correct to ask me to return my driving licence. After all, it is not smart to drive a car if neither of your eyes has good enough vision any more. One small advantage is that I will never need to deal with car dealers or related again. This does not mean however I do not follow the sector, which brings me to today’s comment from Vertu Motors (VTU).

Wheelsure – sales are vanity: the Fat Lady is checking her diary! This company deserves to go bust!

Aquis listed Wheelsure (WHLP) has always been an accident waiting to happen. But now it seems as if the Fat Lady may have a gig in Bedford possibly even before Christmas. The statement, ‘natch, is wholly disingenuous. Naughty, naughty Liam Murray at Cairn. I shall be dropping a quick email to Santa as this is NOT what good boys do.

Letter to the FCA – Odey Asset Management wasting clients cash?

I have commented extensively on this issue. I cannot understand how Odey is not both creating a false market in shares in Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) – so inflating its AUM - but also knowingly and deliberately losing money for clients. I have written to the FCA asking it to examine the matter

Request that you investigate Odey Asset Management over share dealings in Advanced Oncotherapy
Gold

The View From The Montana Log-Cabin As Gold Falls Slightly, Markets Rather More

Gold finished the week at $1793 – slightly down on last week’s $1798 but rather more resilient than the market in general, as the Fed again hiked rates and warned of more to come. So stocks declined, and the bond market was having none of it as yields fell over the week.
BBY

Despite the Slump, Construction Projects are Still Supported by Whitehall and this Galloping Giant could Reap the Benefit

Hello Share Followers. Among the few jumbo companies I have confidence in suggesting to you in these stormy days, is Balfour Beatty (BBY). Unusually, for any firm, revenue for the full year is expected to be better than last time round. Only by another 5% from £8.3 billion. But that’s pretty good for 2022.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Posties are greedy bastards and their company will go bust, its just a matter of when

Not quite as greedy as the Nurses. But do you know what the average screw of a postie is? I discuss that and why Royal Mail Group (RMG) is doomed and its equity must eventually go to zero. Then I discuss transparency ref Red Rock (RRR), nanosynth (NN) and others.

Tintra – was the recent death spiral really issued by Bergen Asset Management?

Dubious quality companies on the AIM and Standard List have long used Death Spiral funding to raise cash to keep the lights on.  It appears that now that some but not all of the Bulletin Board morons have cottoned onto the main names in the Death Spiral space that the latest twist is for the Death Spiral Lender to use a front entity to provide the money and for it to be given a industry relevant moniker to reassure the more gullible investors that the new funding is coming a long term institutional investor and not a wicked Death Spiral lender that will crater the share price.
