At 8.30 the first folks arrived to a lawn basking in glorious sunshine and breakfast was served: croissants with a range of home made jams, plus plenty of coffee, tea and orange juice. The bar did not open until 9.30 in a vain effort to keep Lucian Miers under control.
I offered a few introductory remarks then a warm embrace from Jim Mellon. I bet folks never thought they’d see the two of us sharing a stage again. After a tour de force from Jim it was Brian Kinane on AI.
Joshua was manning his croquet stand where about two folks managed to shoot the hop. Natch I was one of them so the home made prizes of olive oil, lavender cordial and plum vodka went largely unwon.
