By noon, thanks to the verbose Peter Brailey, we were running late and thus lunch arrived while I did a double act with Boatman Capital which I really enjoyed. Great analysis from him and a few jokes thrown in as we talked about some crooks and some overvalued stocks not run by crooks. And we talked about transparency and short selling.
Meanwhile in the food tent, the lads from Wrexham and the Mrs welcomed Helen & Phil from our local Greek South African restraurant which also does great pizza. Going with that were home grown tomatoes and lettuces and home made vinagrette ( with Greek hovel olive oil and home grown garlic), home grown peppers and chilli peppers and home grown radishes in a South East Asian pickle. I forgot to put out home grown spring onions. Next year I will not be so remiss.
Then folks ate and drank on the lawn as the sun came out. At Sharestock you really can quiz speakers one to one over a beer or prosecco and lavendar cordial and a slice of pizza. The fisrt speaker after lunch was me so I could try to claw back a bit of time..
FWIW, we have started planning next year's event with up to 4 new speakers being asked to appear once we have fixed a date, plus the stars from this year's show. We have now fixed that date: September 23 2023 to accomodate a new star headline speaker.
