I have today written to the HMRC as it appears that Julie “Lingerie on expenses” Meyer MBE may owe it around £200,000 in unpaid tax. I say “may”, I hope – given the parlous state of the UK’s finances – that it checks this out to see if it indeed this is money owing. It is all to do with her apartment in London.
Of course, Ms sex toys on expenses, already has unpaid tax due to the HMRC as you can see HERE
Thanks to Winnileaks, as you can see HERE, Julie Marie Meyer MBE has told the IRS, the US taxman ( to whom she owes sums going back almost twenty years), that she pays rent of £3,665 per month.
But of course, over at least 15 years, Julie has not paid that rent herself so she is lying to the IRS. The rent has been paid to a management company which is currently Geo & Joslin. Now thanks again to Winnileaks we can see an internal Ariadne spreadsheet HERE which shows Ariadne paying that firm £7,330 for May and June 2017. £7,330 divided by two is….£3,665.
If ones employer pays your rent that is a taxable benefit in kind and should be declared to the HMRC. £3,665 a month over, say, 15 years, would at a 40% marginal tax rate work out at more than £200,000 due in tax.
Now, of course, Ms Meyer may have declared this in full and paid all the tax. But just in case she has not I have passed this onto HMRC and the unit that is looking into her affairs so that they can check it out in full.
Just call me a good citizen, keen to help HMRC reduce the national deficit.
