It’s time for my monthly look at this motley selection of AIM wannabes. Not much to say for most of them so want to focus on the contrasting progress reports from Xtract Resources (XTR) and EVR Holdings (EVRH).

Tern (TERN) is, of course, the bete noire of our own Nigel Somerville. It has also be THE AIM wonder stock of the past week. So what exactly did Bruce Leith say at UK Investor Show. Enjoy.

John Galt the whitleblower turned nemesis of devout Christian Julie Meyer MBE is back online just days after Julie Meyer's lawyers managed to bully his webhoster into removing his posts. He is back with TWO damning exposes full of new material including details of an alleged crime with a two year sentence which Galt has reported to the British Police.  Meyer has already fled Malta where the Police there are after her.  Before Meyer's lawyers - if she has any left - get these posts taken down have a butcher's as they are utterly damning and explosive.

At UK Investor Show there were six Dragon's Den sessions. As a result of each £3,000 of my real money was invested after each dragon picked one of the 5 companies doing an elevator pitch. In session three the Dragons were me (Tom Winnifrith), Nigel Wray and Steve Moore.  The companies pitching were: Vast Resources, ECR Minerals, FairFX, Red Rock Resources and Ferrum Minerals.

Unless you need high speed Internet, wherein we revert to the Victorian times. I swear, I don't know how Charles Dickens and Jules Verne got anything done with the poor Internet we suffer in the Capital.

Thanks to Gary Newman and Steve Moore and the 2017 Dragon's Den I am an impoversihed investor in Xtract Resources (XTR). Should I sack them do you think? Anyhow there is a new boss, Colin Bird, and he puts the recovery case...

I week after UK Investor I reflect briefly on our show, on its plans for 2019 and on the massive flops of two also rans. I ask if the Maltese Old Bill have collared Julie Meyer yet? I think not. I hear she has skipped the Island to head to London. And then I have yet more absolutely shocking revelations about the administration of Beaufort Securities.

When Paul Scott starts his morning newsletter with references to Chaka Khan you kind of fear that he is drunk in charge of a keyboard. He ended his long & less interesting than usual missive yesterday, which was largely a cut & paste,  with the phrase "Let's have less Tom Winnifrith please! He causes stress & anguish - go away Tom, you're a bore." and then sent his tedious column to various folks such as Nigel Wray.

Some investor shows have all women panels in a rather patronising tokenistic manner. Our main stage speakers are there on merit and merit alone. This year there were three women on the main stage, including the show owner Lucy Wray. But the star, as ever, was the Queen of tech Vin Murria. She would hit me if I suggested she was there as part of a quota, she is the ultimate meritocrat and she is forthright in her views. For me this was the session  of the show but is for paying subscribers only.

Dillistone Group (DSG), “the AIM quoted supplier of recruitment software for the international recruitment industry… is pleased to announce its audited final results for the 12 months ended 31 December 2017”, including emphasising “2017 was an exciting year for the Dillistone Group with the launch of GatedTalent”. The shares have responded… er, currently 10% lower, to 86p…

I met up with Asaf from TechFinancials (TECH) the day before the show. We had a bit of a disagreement about Syria but moved swifty on as he tried to explain blockchain and his ICO to me - and I think I almost got it. Here he is at the UK Investor Show doing the same. Enjoy.

Hello, Share Buyers. Like me, you probably have a nasty taste in your mouth over the way the insolvency of the broker Beaufort Securities is being handled. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe that ring-fenced share and cash accounts were not secure. And my inquiries of professionals in the Big City shows that most of them were unaware of such loopholes either.

We own shares in Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) and have done since its IPO. It has been a bumpy ride but things are now going very much the right way and at c3p they are very cheap. Here is Charles Barclay to explain why.

I have made the point before but do so again that not all death spirals - or alternative structured financings or whatever the MBA phrase is - are the same. Some can actually help the share price. Some really shaft shareholders royally. All are created in a way where the provider cannot lose but some are just usurious. Why, for instance, has Angus Energy (ANGS) agreed to a deal this week with Bergen which ensures that its investors will get so utterly rogered that no amount of lube can ease the pain.

In this bearcast I look at Avanti Communications (AVN), Watchstone (WTG) and Sound Energy (SOU). The maltese Police were meant to have found Julie Meyer and dragged her to the Courts today where a company where she is the sole director faced criminal charges over unpaid wages. Have they found her or is she, as one Meyer-ologist tells me, back in the UK having skipped Malta midweek. If anyone has any information please feel free to get in touch. 

AIM-listed Tern (TERN) has seen its shares absolutely rocket – they are almost ten times the low-point notched up whilst the death spiral (with an un-named funder) was running. Meanwhile I have been called lots of names by some nice person on twitter who seems to think I am calling the shares short. A pity they are not a ShareProphets subscriber….
