Altitude Group – interims emphasise “significant year-on-year growth”, but for how long is its funding “sufficient”?
Previously writing on merchandising platform technology group Altitude (ALT), in June with the shares up to 43.5p I concluded its trading performance and valuation meant still just on the watchlist and I continued to avoid. Today the group is “pleased to announce” results for its half-year ended 30th September 2023, so what of the shares currently approaching 7% lower on the day at 40p in response?

Upland Resources: if you buy into today’s news you are asking for it
I am amazed that the FCA has not sanctioned Standard Listed Upland Resources (UPL) over the fake bid episode. Actually, I am not that surprised. The FCA is useless but a half competent regulator would have taken action. After that incident anyone investing in this company is insane. Today comes more news which appears to have bamboozled an investor base with a collective IQ of less than that of a cheese sandwich- By Tom Winnifrith |

easyJet is likely to keep on growing in 2024...but you have also got to know when to jump off
The most important component of full year numbers to the end of September from easyJet (EZJ) had already been largely announced to the market, but I am certain that today it likes talking more about "record H2 headline PBT of £865 million” and that its dividend has been reinstated. The key question, as often in the investment world, is what is going to happen next?- By Chris Bailey |

Gfinity – disposal “significantly improves” financial position. Er, how ‘significantly’ so?…
Gfinity (GFIN) has announced that it has sold its remaining 27.5% esports technology business interest to Tourbillon Group, including as the transaction “significantly improves Gfinity's financial position and establishes a stronger base to implement its new plans and reach a turnaround position”. How ‘significantly’ so?- By Steve Moore |

MusicMagpie Told y’all, it’s the ugly bird at the disco that nobody, however smashed, will shag: bidders flee!
I told you all very clearly that when musicMagpie ((MMAG) tipped off the Daily Telegraph that it had received two bid approaches it was all a spoof. The company put out a confirmatory approach and saw its shares surge to 23p as Daily Telegraph readers (poor saps) filled their boots. The reality…- By Tom Winnifrith, the Sheriff of AIM |

Argo Blockchain new CEO Thomas Chippas – how impressive is his CV?
Struggling and drowning in debt bitcoin miner Argo Blockchain (ARB) still describes itself in today’s RNS as “a global leader in cryptocurrency mining.” Heck, if it is a leader, I’d hate to see what one of the laggards looks like. Anyhow the global leader is spaffing shareholders cash has a new CEO, Tomas Chippas who joins with immediate effect. So what is his CV really like?- By Tom Winnifrith |

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Kefi's a two way bet but skewed massively to the bulls, Ben's Creek needs to fess with a profits warning
In today's Bearcast I start with a bit of macroeconomics. Then it is onto Powerhouse Energy (PHE), Ben's Creek (BEN), Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) and Valereum Blockchain (VLRM).- By Tom Winnifrith |

Horizonte CEO and CFO quite rightly sacked, now for shareholders to get screwed one last time
After the admission of a shock £188 million cost over-run for the Araguaia Nickel mine in Brazil, it is quite right and proper that CEO Jeremy Martin and CFO Simon Retter have been given the order of the boot by Horizonte Minerals (HZM). I am pretty sure that both will get huge payoffs and will not need to resort to crowdfunding to keep bread on the table. Next up will be the final shafting of shareholders. Yes: their suffering is far from over.- By Tom Winnifrith |

Frontier Developments – “current market expectation… remains achievable”, or does it?…
Previously writing on company describing itself as “a leading developer and publisher of videogames” Frontier Developments (FDEV), in September with the shares down to around 300p I questioned its “comfortable with market expectations” after it admitted “the release of F1 Manager 2023 in July 2023 has so far not delivered the expected sales contribution”, having stated in June that the year “will benefit from two major new game releases: F1 Manager 2023 and Frontier's first real-time strategy game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin”. So what of a latest “Business Update” announcement from the company?

You should not smoke or vape, but that does not mean BATS shares are also an avoid
I look forward to the trading update from British American Tobacco (BATS) in about 10 days' time, but this morning I read that “the London-based tobacco company BAT has called for ‘more stringent’ regulations on vaping, including a licensing regime similar to alcohol and cigarettes”. What is going on?- By Chris Bailey |

Worthless Valereum: shares unsuspended and the new board comes out swinging for Richard Poulden
Oh dear. Oh dear. Do you remember when the brown envelope man Zak Mir and penny share promoter Dave Lenigas debated whether Valereum Blockchain (VLRM) shares were worth 100p or 200p as they ramped ahead of a placing? Valereum now, finally, admits that the reason it could not buy the joke Gibraltar Stock Exchange is that it could not raise enough cash to satisfy regulators at the GFSC. That deal is off, the shares are unsuspended and have fallen to just 2p and the new board is now going after former boss Richard Poulden- By Tom Winnifrith |

Trafalgar Property – On Death Row As FTSE Russell Pulls The Plug On Five Companies
AIM-listed (at least for now) Trafalgar Property (TRAF) sits on death row at the moment. Its shares were suspended 2nd October as it couldn’t produce accounts to 31 March 2023, there has been nothing from the company since –and even in the suspension announcement there was no indication of when the (again awful, one presumes) numbers might appear. On Friday, the FTSE Russell indexes announced it was being deleted from the AIM All-Share Index, along with four others.- By Nigel Somerville |

Is Rio Grand? Yes, if you look now for an Iron-Clad Ethical Miner with Deep Prospects
Hello Share Shiners. Recently, I suggested you might peek at Rio Tinto (RIO). It used to be Rio Tinto Zinc. After my commendation the share did shudder a bit, but common sense has returned and this mining giant is now running high. More to come too, I fancy.- By Malcolm Stacey |

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: when will small caps really rally? And, I'm afraid that the diabetes is again raging
I start on my diabetes. I should have acted earlier. But as i prepare for a Christmas of lettuce with all the trimmings washed down with mineral water, I am fighting back. Then it is onto UK small caps? When will they fight back? I name five that probably can't and for which it is a matter of when not if the Fat Lady arrives.- By Tom Winnifrith |
