Bezant Resources – a buy?
Recent recommendations here whose management have included Colin Bird have fared pretty well we suggest – Galileo Resources (GLR) already +136% and Xtract Resources (XTR) +40%, both on an offer-bid basis. Shares in Bezant Resources (BZT) - where he is Executive Chairman - have also fared well recently, but they remain down from levels of as recently as March and give a market cap currently of still below £2 million despite there looking interesting asset potential...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: who will win the US election this year and why it matters
You may not like my joy at Donald Trump beating crooked Hillary Clinton in 2016 but I called the vote correctly and explained in detail how and why I thought The Donald would win. It matters big time for equity investors who wins the General Election in November but also who triumphs in House and Senate races. I offer up my first detailed thoughts. Then I look at Amigo (AMGO), Intu (INTU), Novacyt (NCYT), Avacta (AVCT) and Open Orphan (ORPH). Finally, we are now at an amazing 65% of our keep Woodlarks alive rogue bloggers appeal target. With my big walk now just 5 days away thank you to those listeners who have donated. To those who have not please do so HERE.

Lookers plc (LOOK), describing itself as “one of the leading UK motor retail and aftersales service groups”, last week updated with CEO Mark Raban “pleased to have reopened our dealerships… We have used the time as the business has been closed to adapt and evolve to meet changes in consumer behaviour, not just for a post Covid environment, but also to enhance our digital offering and the trend towards electrification… There is still a lot more work to do, but we have the determination, platform and brand partnerships to take the business forward”. Today “Update on Results”… and the shares currently around 25p, approaching 20% lower...

PowerHouse Energy - Does its so called "technology" even work?!
Tom Winnifrith has written two articles recently about PowerHouse Energy (PHE), firstly noting how Zak Mir is promoting the stock and secondly how there are a bucket (shop) load of 0.5p warrants outstanding; separately Peter Brailey has noted the absurdity of the valuation as being "quadruple bonkers". But today I want to ask a more basic question: does its so called "technology" even work?

Inspirit – Bull**** Update from the Boiler Room
AIM-listed Inspirit Energy (INSP) has today issued an Operations Update in response to my piece on Friday, when I pointed out that yet again the company had failed to file its Confirmation Statement to Companies House on time, and wondered whether the appearance of Mr Christopher Heminway on the shareholder list might presage yet more bad news for Inspirit’s lobster-potted shareholders...

The Situation Facing Avacta Investors Like Me
Hello, Share Isolators. The question of what to do with Avacta (AVCT) shares continues to be even thornier. The price exceeded 200p a week or so ago, then began a double-digit daily decline. Towards last week’s end it perked up again and at the time of writing is 157p...

….And the good news is: Woodford biotech dogs sold
Of course, the bad news is that the worst of them haven’t been sold and the buyer, Acacia Research, got a thumping discount. The news of the discount should come as no surprise to ShareProphets readers, as Tom Winnifrith, Cynical Bear and I have all warned of as much. And with the absolute dogs left over, there is surely more pain to come for Neil Woodford's motley crew of hard-up former investors into hs Equity Income Fund.

Commercial property update: Intu's on standby, Workspace believes
There has been a lot of debate about shopping centre operator Intu (INTU) on this website. For me there was little surprise when I read yesterday that the company has apparently put an administrator on standby as 'one banking source warned this weekend...that Intu could be declared insolvent within a fortnight if it fails to make sufficient progress in the negotiations with lenders'. As I have noted before this is all last chance saloon, will the banks prefer a zombie option or not? No doubt excitable times await for the shares next week.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Strawberry fields forever coming later but first some sheer insanity
I promise you pictures of my 99 now planted strawberry plants later and I also have good news from the orchard. Yesterday my daughter and I managed just 17 laps of the fields ( 20km) here at the Welsh Hovel for reasons I explain but I shall do 45 laps in six days time to raise the £48,000 Woodlarks needs to survive. We are now at 64% of target, please, please make a donation HERE. then I look at the insanity gripping equities. I am now turning less bullish and explian why, looking at Hertz, Intu (INTU), Avacta (AVCT) and a number of other situations. I refer to my premium video with Matt Earl here.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Happy Birthday Big Nose & Aunt Lucy
It is also the D day anniversary and as some folk gather in London to "fight fascism" by attacking the Police. I spare a moment to remember those who really did fight fascism. I will soon starting on a 25-30 lap walk around the Welsh Hovel. that is 25-30 * 1,185 metres. my last big training walk for Woodlarks. It is raining and the wind is up so think of my suffering and for the vast bulk of Bearcast listeners yet to donate please give a tenner or more to help Woodlarks survive HERE. Ed Croft's Stockopedia lists the top ten AIM stocks to buy including Fevertree, Boohoo and Pan African. I discuss a few issues with such models.

Stobart Group – Placing (as predicted) at 40p to raise £100m and FY results at no-one-is-watching o’clock
Last time I wrote about former Woodford favourite Stobart Group (STOB), on April 6th, I predicted a placing…..and so it came to pass that on Thursday night it did indeed pass the hat around – time for an Ouzo, methinks! And the discount? Well, the stock closed Thursday (at 4.30pm) at 69.2p, having traded as high as 74.1p and the bookbuilding exercise was announced at seven minutes past six in the evening. On the closing price, the discount was a whopping 42%. Ouch.
