Jonathan Roe jumps aboard the sinking ship Amigo
When a boss with a good reputation joins a company with a bad one, it is always the latter that emerges intact. Jonathan Roe was unveiled today as the new chairman of Amigo (AMGO) and his CV looks good. It will not stay that way. Amigo also unveiled its results for the year to March 31 2020 and they are dire. But there is far worse to come and you would not bet much on this company even surviving.

Dry America Looks Fertile Ground for this Gushing Water-Saving Outfit
Hello, Share Tweakers. Water may be in good supply in Britain’s rainy July, but there’s a real shortage in the middle and west of America. Folks there really need a company that can deal with leaks and wring the best out of meagre supplies. That’s why I’ve previously commended to you an ambitious outfit called Water Intelligence (WATR). Until now, the share price hasn’t lived up to expectations though and, after some useful upward activity last week, I’m still down about 4%...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - the dynamite admission to sink Avacta, Novacyt et al
Thanks for your kind words on MineProphets, the videos will stay up for another six months HERE. I will be doing another MineProphets show on December 5. This podcast looks at the dynamite mea culpa from PHE and why that makes it game over for Avacta (AVCT), Novacyt (NCYT) and the other coronabollocks stocks. Then I look at the naivety of Suzanne Evans and the political/media class about capitalism, creative destruction, housing, commercial property and job losses.

Gold: bullishness galore but still more to come - $1900 here we come
Yesterday at the MineProphets share conference one theme kept on recurring: is gold a crowded trade? In one sense it is: gold bulls are all in. So everyone Tom Winnifrith asked yesterday was bullish on gold, but was a little worried that they were no longer a hermit living in the caves on baked beans: they suddenly have friends. Uncle Tom dealt with some of that in yesterday’s Bearcast, but Jordan Roy-Byrne of TheDailyGold.com thinks gold is again on the cusp of another break higher – along with gold stocks.

Ariana – MineProphets grilling by Tom Winnifrith underlines my bullishness
Yesterday’s MineProphets show, with our intrepid host Tom Winnifrith, was a fantastic achievement. If you were too stingy to fork out three quid initially, you still can and see all the videos right through until Christmas, including Tom Winnifrith grilling Turkish gold producer AIM-listed Ariana Resources (AAU) head honcho Kerim Sener for an hour and a half. Yikes – what is there to discuss for an hour and a half with an AIM company with a market capitalisation of £43 million? Well, actually rather a lot…..

If President Energy doesn't recover, then unlike most AIM outfits, chairman Peter Levine has the most to lose!
Just because a company has traded at much higher share price levels it doesn’t mean that it will do so again, and that is particularly true of oil companies at the moment.

The ShareProphets Sunday Pub Quiz #46
This has nothing to do with shares or investing or anything. It's the end of the weekend and we've organised a quick pub quiz. Grab your own beer, there are no prizes, and for Pete's sake, no Googling! Only I get to do that. If you are so inclined, please enter your score in the comments. The highest score still won't get a prize.

DCC - boring name but what a track record
I do love companies with anonymous and boring names. Yes, you can have lots of shorter-term share price glamour by adding 'cloud' or 'WFH' or even maybe still 'blockchain' to your corporate name, but it does not last unless you truly deliver. By contrast those quiet cumulative growth companies just give and give and give.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: was Chris Oil the first domino & a posterboy for our times?
I start with a few words on MineProphets. I hope you all had a good time today. I end with a few words on West Ham which has brought myself and my daughter some rare joy in these past 24 hours. In between, I discuss Versarien (VRS) and also the strange case of broker Jub Cap and Chris Oil and what it says about the strange times we live in. I also discuss whether being long gold really is a crowded trade.

KEFI Minerals – VERY “Positive Developments in Saudi Arabia”, target price increased from 3p to 4.25p: BUY
The video interview with Harry Adams is one of the highlights of MineProphets today as you can see HERE. KEFI Minerals (KEFI) has updated on “Positive Developments in Saudi Arabia” for its 34%-owned joint venture. It under-eggs the pudding, this is massive. This refers not to the gold prospect at Jibal Qutman but to the seperate Hawiah copper play.

Hello, Share Monkeys. It’s the weekend of the Shareprophets big mining online share show. Escape Hunt – when the ‘senior leadership team’ having barely missed out at all isn’t taking the piss enough...
A “Management incentive scheme” announcement from Escape Hunt (ESC), with Chairman Richard Rose “pleased that we have put an appropriate incentive in place for our senior team which is aligned with the interests of our shareholders. In order to receive 100 per cent of the award, the team will have had to generate a compound shareholder return of 35 per cent per annum over four years. With this in mind, we are excited about the prospects for Escape Hunt and have a strong management team in place to deliver our strategy”. Hmmm!...
