Ok rabble, it is the last day in Greece with the Mrs. She flies home to her true love (Oakley, the morbidly obese three legged cat) later and so this is just a short message on a day when the stockmarket is showing signs of true madness. Should we all give up being value investors and buy any old rubbish and go with the flow? No. It will end in tears. Inter alia I refer to Coms, Daniel Stewart, Scotgold, Kea Petroleum and the China bubble.

DUCK AND DIVE
Scotgold looks to me as though it’s heading for a double dose of major dilution as it needs big money to pay for its BFS and, er, its mine. On top of that, there seems to be ongoing selling pressure since the recent keep-the-lights-on placing of 90m shares.
And you forgot to mention USOP (maybe because it isn’t on AIM) – up 100% pro tem on relief at the lifting of the trading suspension. And there seem to be plenty of sellers who presumably don’t think USOP can keep the lights on, never mind fund another well.

UK media showing things hotting up in Greece yet again, crisis wise. How does it actually feel on the ground in Greece? What is the vibe from the Greek people? Any changes you can detect?
Certainly an interesting time for you to be there and interesting for you to see what/if grexit happens and the real effect on the country seen from the ground if it does.

That’s the thing that puzzles me Tom… if you REALLY think these bad shares are worthless… you would make more money just shorting them not… ‘destroying’ them! Free tip from me the firee!
TW: Mark as I have explained before, I am a journalist and that is how I make my living. You cannot make a living from that as your work is so pitifully bad so should stick to trading, at which I hope for your sake you are less bad. If I want career advice I will not take it from a 25 year old resident of some grim northern shit holePaul Scott
Hi Tom,
You sound so much happier & relaxed when you report from Greece, it’s a much more enjoyable listen than the sometimes overly strident, ranting tone of a while ago, when you were in the UK.
Mind you, today’s voice sounded very much like – I’ve got to keep my voice down, or I’ll get shouted at if I wake up the Mrs! Or – I’ve promised not to do any more work on the markets today, and have sneaked off to record a bearcast, and nobody must find out!!!
PLUS – looks like I might be right after all, with my trading long on this (my avg buy price is now 374p, so I’m still underwater, but not disastrously now. Also should be a positive AGM update tomorrow. Odey is hoovering up the loose stock – perfect conditions for a bear squeeze, I reckon!).
I look forward to your gracious apology in due course! ;-)
Regards, Paul.

I’d like to cheer you up Tom so I found a new FTSE index you might like to invest in.
