ShareProphets AIM-China Filthy Forty play Walcom (WALG) updated at lunchtime today that after weeks of prevaricating its CEO and CFO, Mr Francis Chi, has finally signed on the dotted line to give the company a lifeline in the form of a further loan of HK$ 270,000. But as lifelines go, this is as short as it gets for even with further loans which may or may or may not follow we are told that the cash will still run out in early February.

This followed him having earlier included it as a back-up for the Vomit List. He might want to consider ‘promoting’ it to the list after an update on the ‘funding deal’ today – though it’ll require the shares' return from suspension first!...

On 8 January 2019, embattled and almost insolvent Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG) admitted that it had received a legal claim from  Askell Limited but it told shareholders not to worry as “it believes the Askell claim is without merit.” Au contraire.. a City source has given me the full SP and the scale and nature of the claim are massive and should sink the company. As such the RNS was utterly misleading.

It was indeed a Versarien (WRS) owning moron who picked up this award… yes its ADVFN paedo guy ( that is he claims I am one) bgt1

I assumed, as it turns out correctly, that the GM held today to approve Anglo African’s (AAOG) duff deal to sell 80% of its stake in the Tilapia field to fellow AIM dog Zenith (ZEN) would go Anglo’s way. But just to make sure the two companies served up a massive spoof today … the RNS is total crap.

“Owner and operator of 47 premium pubs across Southern England and Wales”, The City Pub Group (CPC) has announced a “Year End Trading Update”, including “the board is pleased with the overall performance of the group for 2019”. The shares are currently at 197.5p – er, more than 9% lower on the day!…

Neill Ricketts continues to operate an almost Trappist new media silence suggesting that my letter to AIM Regulation and his Nomad Bobbie Hilliam of Canaccord about the private Versarien (VRS) Discord chat room is being taken very seriously indeed. Two interesting gambling sector stories over the last day or so. Yesterday there was a report that credit card payments were set to be banned by the Gambling Commission in order to protect troubled gamblers who max out their credit lines in search of funds to keep playing, leading in almost all cases to bad debts and other personal and social ills. The Commission wants electronic payments to be limited to just debit cards and this is undoubtedly eminently sensible. All of this is just another step along the road of professionalism for the gambling industry…

Although my main focus is in the oil and mining sectors, I do also follow quite a few shares which don’t fall into this category, with Hostelworld (HSW) being one of them.

The headlines this morning are full of stories about the royal family and money.  That is all a bit grubby.  Meanwhile in the corporate world I see the James Benamor, the founder of Amigo (AMGO) - the guarantor lender with a desperately flawed business model which I have described before as no friend of mine  - has just paid paid himself a £2.9 million dividend via his holding company.
