6% of Glenwick not controlled by US crook - Browntown gets in touch and explains itself

Earlier today I asked the question whether Browntown Holdings which owns 6% of Glenwick PLC (GWIK) was the same as Browntown Holdings LLC which is run by a crook. I asked in public HERE as the company's new NED and broker refused to answer my emailed question - and still have not. Luckily the real Browntown has got in touch and said more than it needs to.

Tom Winnifrith #InternationalCatDay Bearcast: at war with inbred Isle of Wighters, thieving lazy Scousers and Glenwick owning morons

Who described me as evil today? A lazy thieving welfare scrounger ( i.e.a Scouser), an inbred chav with a low IQ (ie someone from the Isle of Wight) or the dumbest of them all, a Glenwick (GWIK) shareholder? I pissed off scousers on an industrial scale HERE,, the inbreds HERE and the uber morons on the Glenwick shareholder list HERE.  I discuss this all in today's podcast. Then it is onto IGAS and the other UK shale plays which are all racing ahead today. Then to TrakM8 (TRAK) and Aureus (AUE) before my morbidly obese three legged cat Oakley intervenes in a very audible manner to remind us all of what really matters today.

Utilitywise – wariness vindicated as company updates on “weaker overall performance than we would have liked”

“Utilitywise (UTW), the leading independent utility cost management consultancy, today provides an update on trading for the year ended 31 July 2016. The group expects to report significant revenue growth in the period with revenues of at least £82m (£69.1m 2015)”. Sounds promising, so why are the shares currently a further 6.5% lower, heading towards 133p? ...

666, Bitcoin crash, if you are first it's not panic

Bloomberg reported late last year that China had founded a working group to explore the use and possible partial adaption of the supranational Special Drawing Rights currency, in a clear sign that it wants a new global currency and that it wants the dollar removed and replaced in its role as facilitating global commerce and it now looks that we are very close to the first SDR issuance in the private sector since the 1980s.  The International Monetary Fund itself published a paper discussing the use of private sector SDRs in July and noises out of China’s central bank imply that an international development organisation will soon issue SDR bonds in China, according to Chinese media group Caixin.

Update: Glenwick - now is this a California crook I see with a stake? No!

Welcome to your new job as a NED at soon to be suspended AIM casino dog Glenwick (GWIK), Amanda Van Dyke would you care to discuss your new 6% shareholder? Er why not? A tad embarrassing per chance?

IGAS - irrational exhuberance, just fracking nonsense

Shares in overindebted AIM-listed Igas Energy (IGAS) have shot out of the traps this morning on news that Theresa May is in favour of fracking and wants to bribe the locals into letting it happen. There is also a technical matter announced last week that Igas underwent a capital reduction which apparently strengthens the balance sheet......if only. The share price reaction has seen the shares race ahead by as much at 47% (30% last seen) but has anything changed? Er....

Worthington Bulletin Board Moron of the Week Contest Result

Apologies for the delay in announcing the winner of the last contest of two weeks ago. The beauty of this winner from among all the entries you can see HERE is that he demonstrates a general point about the delusions of the common or garden lesser spotted Moron.

Blenheim - more ramptastic horseshit news: when is the placing?

Wow! Blenheim Natural Resources (BNR) just got an option to buy 7.5% of a great company for just £1. And the company has an amazing gold and copper asset in Bongo Bongo land. It sounds almost too good to be true...precisely. Caveat emptor this looks like a pre placing ramptastic load of horseshit. So lets investigate and "fiske" the news.
Blenheim says that it:

What do Pokemon Players and Bulletin Board Morons have in common?

I think that the answer is that however many times they have facts pointed out to them and are warned of the consequences of acting like imbeciles, the desire to self destruct is almost unstoppable. The picture below demonstrates that point.

Glenwick - AIM cronyism that stinks as suspension looms

I am afraid that this involves Amanda Van Dyke, formerly of this parish, but the news from piece of Turkish Glenwick (GWIK) stinks of AIM cronyism and it is bad news all round for shareholders as suspension looms.

Hoots Mon, This Scottish Oil Producer Could be Worth a (Highland) Fling

Hello Share Swappers. The price of crude oil bested $50 dollars a barrel a few months ago. Consequently big oil producers like Royal Dutch Shell (RDSA) started a long-awaited rally. Then the oil price dipped back to around $40 dollars. So it looks as though oil prices are not recovering at all. Except that the last time I looked the oil price was over $44 dollars a barrel, so it’s on the up again.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I don't believe you & Meanwhile M&G does irony

In this podcast I look at M&G and Petropavlovsk (POG), I look at Strat Aero (AERO) where I shall be upping the ante next week. And then I look at what cutting base rates means and why the economic policies of post 2008 Britain have not worked and will end in tears.

Conroy Gold & Natural Resources - size does matter but you really need to feel the width don't you?

Earlier today I flagged up the problems Strat Aero (AERO) has with AIM Rule 11. A trusted correspondent asks does Conroy Gold (CGNR) have a similar issue?

Buy Concepta at 12p and at up to 17.5p - target to sell 28p

Investment Case: The AIM admission of Concepta (CPT) a couple of weeks ago was through a reverse takeover of shellmeister (Adam Reynolds)-saved Frontier Resources International (FRI). We backed Reynolds when he became involved in Frontier, but despite his track-record, then was clearly somewhat speculative as we awaited a deal to be delivered. Now it has and it looks like Reynolds has delivered another promising one…

Strat Aero - what did it not understand about timely disclosure & obscene boardroom greed

I am not kidding you but there really is an AIM Rulebook for the Casino. But I guess round at Strat Aero no-one has bothered to read it. Sadly ignorance is no defence. Having declared war on this worthless piece of crap yesterday I now bring to its disgusting breaches of rule 11 and also obscene corporate greed.

Rame Energy: Anatomy of Failure (and lessons in ignoring management-speak)

I love AIM stocks. And I think AIM is a great place to invest. I think it’s great to have a space where regulation is light(er) and costs are cheap(er). But with that freedom comes the responsibility to do your due diligence and to manage the risks. Many AIM stocks, if not the majority, are ultimately worth nothing: stocks like the now-suspended Rame Energy (RAME).

Beaufort Securities lending cash to Strat Aero boss for bogus share purchase to ramp shares pre placing - Market abuse and Fraud

The more one reads of the explosive legal dossier packed with damning emails, filed by Hulsey Smith in the Texas Courts against Strat Aero (AERO), the more one sees the massive implications for the whole of AIM. In yesterday's bearcast I discussed the massive conflict of interests at Strat's broker Beaufort Securities. Now let's take that further...if you are a Beaufort client this should concern you.

Gold might go Ballistic says Peter Schiff

There are several reasons the world economy is unsustainable within the current systems according to my hero, the libertarian Gold bug Peter Schiff. We have featured Peter several times here in recent weeks - see HERE. He believes the biggest factor is countries like the US which have huge deficits. They have low production rates requiring mass imports of goods in exchange for pieces of paper that are losing their value. This forms imbalances which destabilize the global economy. There are also enormous amounts of bonds and unfunded liabilities which creates vulnerability to a backup in interest rates. If rates go up, they can’t afford to pay.

Fishing Republic – more confetti to come as 18-month just not an issue

AIM-listed Fishing Republic (FISH) only came to the Casino on 4 June 2015. Apparently newly listed companies are supposed to come to the world’s most successful growth market with 18 months’ working capital in the bag. But on Friday it was announced that Fishing Republic is calling a General Meeting in order to seek shareholder authorities to allow it to issue yet more confetti.

Notes from Underground: Rickaayy! I mean, Avaanti!

We are spending the weekend north of the border, in Aberdeen, and considering that it is the height of summer in Scotland, we have brought appropriate clothing: wooly jumpers, thick socks, rain gear and dressed in layers. It turned out to be prescient and we have stayed warm and dry on an August day.
