UK Investor Show 2017 raises £14,500 for Woodlarks - so far! More to come
There are some people who think the stockmarket and shares business is like robbing a bank - all about making money however you go about it. But at a time of year when many of us think about a man who gave the ultimate gift, his life, for others we think that business should also be about giving. And that brings us to Woodlarks and the UK Investor Show. It started with Paul Scott who donated his, very small, speaker fee...

Richard Poulden of Wishbone Gold explains import of recent RNS
Okay this is a Proactive Interview so it is not exactly probing. The slippery little twit asking the questions is no Paxman. But we own shed loads of Wishbone Gold shares (WSBN) so, as Richard Poulden gives a very upbeat explanation of where the company is heading, we are happy to give it the oxygen of publicity. Enjoy.

Big Sofa - another deal, piss poor PR but shares will zoom in the end
Big Sofa (BST) is signing major deals but the clowns who manage its PR seem unable to communicate why this is so important to the market. In due course despite the manifest incompetency of Vigo Communications, a firm too cowardly and inept to answer basic questions posed by email, the truth will out and the shares will zoom. But pro tem this is frustrating.

Huge Discounts Up for Grabs - for Shareholders Only
Hello Share Samplers. I’m quite excited about this. This family has now received its Whitbread (WTB) shareholder’s discount card. A good investment that, as I’ve only held the share a few weeks and am already up by 12%. And the added perk is really quite good, as shareholder discounts go.

Purplebricks – What is really going on?
Purplebricks (PURP) is one of a raft of new-breed estate agency companies making some bold and questionable claims in the property market at present but how many of these claims stand close scrutiny and are they even trading within the law?

Takeover Panel not backing down – Rangers FC Rule breaker Dave King being taken to court
A month ago, Tom reported the Takeover Panel’s decision that Dave King should make a 20p offer for Rangers International Football Club (RFC) (HERE) and also commented on King’s ridiculous response (HERE). Well, King has point blank refused the request to make a bid but the Panel is not backing down without a fight.

Filthy Forty MoneySwap proposes to delist from Casino after eight months of suspension. So much for AIM Rule 41, Marcus Stuttard.
The ShareProphets AIM-China Filthy Forty is set to have yet another casualty – this time MoneySwap (SWAP) which is proposing to follow Taihua (TAIH) and Jiasen (JSI) out of the back door via a cancellation EGM to become the twenty-seventh Casino delisting. But this will be after almost eight months suspended from trading. Oh Oxymorons at AIM Regulation, whatever happened to AIM Rule 41 which says that execution comes at the end of six months’ suspension? Why don’t you just apply your own rules? Does the AIM Rulebook count for nothing these days?

Worthington - more progress but may need to roll a double six to get trading
Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey. Further to my previous piece (HERE), Aidan Earley has updated his blog this week setting out progress on the launch of Newco and the issuance of share certificates to the Worthington shareholders. To be honest, I admire his tenacity and efforts here as it appears to be quite a tortuous route and sometimes I wonder whether it would be easier to defeat the Warlock of Firetop Mountain.

Atalaya Mining offers a speculative play on copper prices rising further
Copper has remained volatile in recent weeks, but is still showing far more strength than we’ve seen in the last couple of years, and I think the upward trend will continue. There are still some concerns about a potential drop in demand, but at the same time we’re not seeing many new copper projects reaching production and I can see further shortages in supply going forwards, barring a worldwide economic meltdown.
