New Bulletin Board Moron of the week PRIZE contest graciously sponsored by shamed Tory Baroness Ruby McGregor Smith of MITIE infamy

To help publicise the Financial Reporting Council's investigation into the accounts of outsourcers Mitie Group (MTO), its former CEO, enobled by Call Me Dave Cameron, has graciously - we assume - sponsored this week's bulletin board moron competition.

Utilitywise – early adoption accounting change announcement coincides with profit warning which wouldn’t have been!

Previously writing on Utilitywise (UTW) it was a case of it having been wise to red flag, as (Utility)unwise energy consumption projections see the shares crash. I concluded ‘is there anything else to emerge from the changes required to ‘increase transparency’? The visibility here sees me continue to avoid’. The shares are today further lower on “Early Adoption of IFRS 15” and “Trading update” announcements…

Winner of the Bulletin Board Moron of the week contest sponsored by Roger Lawson again

There were many good nominations this week making selecting the selection of a winner a difficult one. But we persevere.

FRC looks into Mitie and auditors Deloitte - will Tory Baroness Ruby McGregor Smith lose her Peerage? An acid test for the politically correct...

The Financial Reporting Council has announced that it has opened a formal investigation into the accounts of outsourcing group Mitie Group (MTO) for the years to March 31st 2015 and 2016. Mitie is in the spotlight and auditors Deloitte will also be investigated. So what has Baroness Ruby got to say about this?

Anglo African Agriculture - is this the craziest plea in history to be fired?

It may be off your radar but Anglo African Agriculture (AAAP) is a standard list company originally floated by Andrew Monk of VSA Resources but where big Dave Lenigas took over as chairman last Autumn. I should declare that we are shareholders and for what it is worth I am relaxed about the progress Big Dave is making, something that is not evident in legacy interims out today. VSA Resources still acts as financial adviser and broker and Monk is on the board. But I suspect not for long.

It Should Pay to Stick With AstraZeneca, but Patience Is Needed

Hello, Share Spooners. Given the ageing and less healthy world population, I have often said that the big pharmaceuticals offer a buying opportunity. But as usual with medical advances, progress has been slow. I hold shares in GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). But although I’ve often been tempted to dive into its big rival AstraZeneca (AZN), I have resisted the urge. Now I’m rather glad I did.

Asiamet is well placed to benefit from future copper shortages

Copper prices have remained volatile but continue to push higher, and if this continues it will be a very bullish signal for both producers and those looking to bring new projects online.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast special for Roger Lawson, ShareSoc and Barbara Streisand

My good pal Roger Lawson will be receiving a superb see you in Court Bitchez letter from my lawyer tomorrow addressing his allegations of libel to go with the one I sent last week concerning his claim of harassment. On Friday his lawyers wrote to poor Audioboom (BOOM) bullying it to take down an April 2016 bearcast  So here is a new bearcast for Roger, for ShareSoc, Mr Lawson and for Barbara Streisand.

Nomad Cenkos put "on record" re the Mercantile Ports fraud - letter 7, about the land "purchases", SMTM!

When disgraced AIM casino posterboy Mercantile Ports & Logistics (MPL) moves from being a member of the minus 98% club in which it currently sits to being a member of the minus 100% club, I want it known that Nomad Cenkos has been fully aware of massive issues all along and has done nothing other than bank obscene fees. As such we have run a series of letters from a big shareholder to Amber Wood, head of Corporate Governance at Lagos Securities, HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE Now for letter six which puts fragrant Amber and Lagos, Nomad to the Quindell (QPP) fraud as well, on notice for when the final wipeout occurs that they will be held accountable. This letter has also been cc'd to AIM Regulation - I know they are useless but surely even they must realise that Lagos Securities has "form."

Did you lose money on the Paragon Diamonds wipeout? Time to get it back from Nomad Northland

Did you lose money on the wipeout at AIM Casino Paragon Diamonds (PRG) run by Philip Manduca? If so there is, perhaps, a chance to get it back from Nomad and broker Northland which made a killing on fees from Paragon and signed off on all of its statements, the veracity of which has been questioned.

Notes from Underground - NISA to see you, to see you NISA

A business story that I have found facinating is the attempted takeover of NISA (the food shop people) by Sainsburys. We don't cover it because there is no investor angle. But the human angle is, always, unpredicable.

King of the fraudsters Rob Terry promises $1 billion Knob Park IPO - now about those dodgy accounts.

In five year time, the king of the fraudsters, Rob Terry of The Innovation Group and Quindell (QPP) infamy says he will be floating his latest ponzi, Quob Park Estate for $1 billion. Bollocks. There is more chance of me getting lucky with the entire Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders squad within the next 48 hours.  As the SFO investigation into the £3 billion Quenron fraud ratchets up a gear, the only thing Rob Terry will be doing in five years time is praying that his next Roomie at Ford Open doesn't have a taste for ugly older men.

ASA Resources – oh dear: shares suspended pending financial clarification, more wholesale theft and fraud on AIM

AIM-listed ASA Resources (ASA), formerly Mwana Africa, has been getting into a right mess of late, with significant funds having been remitted from operating subsidiaries in Zimbabwe and not properly accounted for. Funds remitted to group entities in Hong Kong have not been accounted for and it seems  that the bank accounts in Hong Kong appear to remain under the control of two recently sacked directors, Mr Yat Hoi Ning (CEO) and Mr Yim Kwan (FD). It is an all too familiar story for followers of the ShareProphets AIM-China Filthy Forty: directors walk off with the cash, get sacked but can’t be reached. Now ASA tells us that it’s shares are suspended pending financial clarification – and a third director, Mr “Brian” Ching Fung Hung having gone AWOL has now also been removed from the board.

It's Nearly Always Best to Sell After a Big Jump, So Why Can't I Do it? Ref IQE

Hello, Share Twiggers. Probably the hardest decisions we have to make as diligent share shifters is when to sell a big winner. Because even the strongest share can reach a point where it is overbought. It may continue to defy gravity for some time, but what goes up too far must come down.
