Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: time for Cabot, Fishing Republic & Frontera to 'fess up!
The great news is that our Woodlarks walk has now reached 57% of its sponsorship target. I'll do another training walk this afternoon with Joshua so as we do a quick march how about you check out the latest incredibly generous donations here and chip in yourself? In a long bearcast I cover Tesla (US:TSLA), Fishing Republic (FISH), Kibo (KIBO), UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) as lyin' Steve does the right thing - Frontera (FRR), Conroy Gold (CGNR), TrakM8 (TRAK), Avanti (AVN) and Cabot Energy (CAB). PS Wasn't the football incredibly exciting and a source of such joy? I view myself as British, not English but go on Eng-er-land!

Regal Petroleum continues to perform strongly operationally - buy
Regal Petroleum (RPT) has seen a huge increase in its share price during the past year, and I know that always makes some investors wary, but a lot has changed during that time, both for the company itself and the area in which it operates.

Catenae Innovation – interims not good… but it’s management and strategic change that matters - BUY
Catenae Innovation (CTEA) has announced its results for the six months ended 31st March 2018 showing a loss on limited revenue, though also emphasising “the group has been through a transformation both in terms of the group's management and also in its strategic focus... The group is now well positioned to focus on executing the new strategy, building revenues from the products and services now available to the group, particularly those utilising blockchain technology in the digital media and fintech markets”…

Hookup updates from Tesco and Sainsbury's
Time for a food retail update. I was slightly surprised by the purchasing hookup between Tesco (TSCO) and the French-listed behemoth Carrefour which was announced on Monday. You all know how loved-up i have been with Tesco over the last little while and - reciprocating my passion - the shares have popped above 240p big technical resistance level in recent weeks as I had hoped (and mused upon here ). Anyhow, Monday's announcement is no sector ball-breaker but rather part of a search for marginal gains.

Gold and the dog days of summer
There is a rather tasteless joke that asks where you will find a dog without any legs ? ... Precisely where you left it. I am just back from holidays and that my friends has been how the gold market looks, precisely as it was... except.

The Jolly Greene King May Face Challenging Times Ahead.
Hello Share Middlers. I’ve commended Greene King (GNK) to you in the past but its yearly numbers are not that marvellous. The pub and food chain’s adjusted profit before tax toppled back to £243 million. That’s still a tidy sum, but it’s 11% less than last time. Still, the divi remains unchanged at 33p per share. The prospective yield I have is 5.3%, which ain’t at all bad.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - that Richard Jennings is a good man, Tony Baldry is not
Say what you like about Richard Jennings of Align Research but, though he has his faults, he has made a very generous donation to the Woodlarks walk campaign and we are now 53% of the way to target. See just how generous and perhaps spare a tenner, as you consider my training walk in today's stifling heat, HERE. In the podcast I look at Great Western Mining (GWMO), Andalas (DOG), MySquar (FRAUD), IQE (IQE), Westminster Group (WSG) - run by loathsome slug and ex Tory MP Tony Baldry - and TrakM8 (TRAK).

UK Oil & Gas owning loons out in force on twitter- they just don’t get it
With shares in UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) flying and another £5 million raised at 2p yesterday, the loons who own this stock are out there on social media buzzing excitedly like flies who have located cow dung, once again making the most ludicrous of assertions.

Angus Energy boss Tidswell and the share swindle it gets even better – meet Elizaveta Lata
Only London’s worst Nomad, Roland “fatty” Cornish could have overseen the shambles at Angus Energy (ANGS) exposed earlier today HERE whereby its boss Jonathan Tidswell-Pretorious handed over all his 39 million shares as security on an (undisclosed) before signing paperwork only to find – with no money advanced – that 10.8 million had been flogged. But it gets better. Far better.

Angus Energy – pure comedy as the ghost of Equities First Holdings comes back to haunt the AIM casino c/o Roland "Fatty" Cornish
It is hard to know whether to laugh or to cry but it seems that the CEO of Angus Energy (ANGS), Jonathan Tidswell-Pretorious seems to have lost a stack of his shareholding in his company and, inadvertently, his range of advisers (led by London’s worst Nomad Beaumont Cornish) have misled investors. What a clusterfuck.

Minoan – sale of Travel & Leisure expected “in the next few weeks,” funding Hillside settlement. Buy.
AIM-listed Minoan (MIN) announced yesterday morning that the sale of its travel and leisure division looks set (at last) to progress to an exchange of contracts, and a General Meeting will be called to approve the transaction. We are also told that the Hillside loan facility is expected to be settled and that the sale will provide the funds so to do. This is all very good news, although it has taken heading for seven months to get this far with the sale. Those with a glass half full might complain of evaporation….

ASOS/ConvaTec: chairs can make a difference
On a thin regulatory news day, two board member announcements catch the eye. I have never written about internet clothing retailer ASOS (ASC) on this website before but i did once own the shares following a tip from a mate who liked the look of a small cap called 'As Seen on Screen'. I remember feeling rather clever after making a very decent return after selling out at 10 pence... Ah, the shortcomings of youth!

Premier Inn's Split With Costa Could Bring Frothier Rewards for Shareholders
Hello, Share Saddlers. I’m ashamed to admit that one of the main reasons I bought Whitbread (WTB) shares is that it came with a deal for two hotel nights at Premier Inns for the price of one. We are testing the waters on this one with a romantic weekend break later this month.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Supplying the IDF means Versarien can do no wrong in my view but...
I am now fully recovered from yesterday's 27 mile training trek in the 30 degree heat - something I describe in full HERE. If you don't like me or the Israeli army or Versarien (VRS) and enjoy my suffering please donate to the Woodlarks charity walk on July 28 - we are now just £31 from 50% of our target fund raise. Be generous HERE. On the podcast today I look at Versarien, UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) where Lucian Miers is taking one hell of a beating from big Dave Lenigas, MySquar (FRAUD) - 7 days to courtroom drama - 88 Energy (88E) - you were warned - Mosman (MSMN) and Frontera (FRR). I also look at new leverage limits on spread betting coming in on 29 July and what that means in nanny state Europe and the UK.

Results for its year ended 31st March 2018 from Trakm8 Holdings (TRAK) emphasise earnings and revenue growth and see Executive Chairman John Watkins stating “it is pleasing to report very strong progress during the past year”. The shares have responded, er, currently 8.5% lower, back sub 100p…
