This operator of 525 outlets flogging gifts, arts, crafts, toys, books and stationery raised a stonking £62.5 million at 160p, c/o crony capitalists Investec in July of last year. Just imagine the fees it earned on that deal. Coke and hookers all round. After a profits warning today shares in TheWorks (WRKS) are just 44p and the company will pretty soon be in net debt, in fact I suspect it already is. Yikes.
