Disclosure: Financial Investigative Media Limited, which is not owned by Tom Winnifrith but by a trust for his dependants, owns shares in companies mentioned in this article. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
Dan tipped me off on this and it has just been announced. Mr Levi is to join the board of Sefton Resources (SER) the company that sued him and me for libel (and lost). Dan is to identify new opportunities to take the company forward. And it gets weirder still.

I’ve always thought Dan was a tool, this confirms it! Man of the people, or should I say, man who fleeces the people (HH duff info for own gains comes to mind). How much is he being paid to sell his soul to the devil? Actually, I think they are perfectly matched!

Re the disclosure,
Since when did you own shares in this company? Have you gone over to the dark side too?

RMPC got shares in Sefton as well as cash as part of its settlement for its failed libel case against us. We sold nearly all of them, . We have shares worth c£30 left.
I/we did not participate in this placing. & I question the sanity of my friend but think his motives are right & wish him well. More in bearcast tomorrow am

What a cracker! I can see some IR value in having BMD as a non-exec but the executive position is just weird. Did he pass the FCA screening test? Has he any experience? Is he hoping to make some money out of it?
The RNS is a classic and fails to conform to the standard procedure of translating the placing price into a percentage discount on the prevailing SP. Presumably a 65% discount didn’t look too good in the draft.
Jim Mellon’s involvement is equally astonishing — even if he has only shelled out his loose change. Presumably he is poised to take control in the next placing. But of what?
I wish them both a miracle.

Good luck Dan and to all sefton shareholders. I think its good for someone like Dan to be on the board of some of these companies. It will be a long road but one worth traveling on.

Its a shame Jim could not have done something with Speymill plc who was suspended on Aim like Daniel Stewart but unlike Daniel Stewart they am finished at 07.00 Monday I still hope Dan & Jim do well for Sefton and its small shareholders because for me its about the small investor in the street and not the one in the private jet and Sefton small shareholders who am left have had a ruff ride. Good Luck everyone.:)
