Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: 3 dogs and an arse
In today’s podcast I look in detail at Deepverge (DVRG) whose CEO Gerry Brandon is a 100% arse and whose most recent RNS is utterly deceptiive. I also look in detail at musicMagpie (MMAG) where a placing will be messy but is a slam dunk cert if the Fat Lady is not to make an appearance and at Cineworld (CINE) which remains a slam dunk short.

It’s Lord Ashbourne to you, you vulgar little oik
I see that Edison has published a note on Kefi (KEFI) giving a valuation range of 2.46p to 8.27p. Whatever, it is paid to be bullish but as a loyal shareholder I agree the stock is cheap although nobody has paid me to write that. Anyhow I see that the Edison contact is Lord Ashbourne? Who he ed?

Keep buying Essentra and its “hassle-free supplier of essential industrial components”
I have been a big fan of shares in Essentra (ESNT) – whicvh hopes to be “the world’s leading responsible hassle-free supplier of essential industrial components” – for about nine months now. And whilst my average purchase price of below 275p is very pleasant compared to today’s c. 315p share price, the share has been pretty volatile year-to-date after I discussed its continued good progress back in January . So am I still hoping for a 400p+ share price target or not?

Spoof announcement from the Supply@ME Fraud – it is all about getting morons to buy death spiral stock
Heck: today’s news is an RNS Reach, that is to say financially insignificant. But when your entire shareholder base makes a garden worm look like the late Bamber Gascoigne in the intelligence department ,that matters little, Supply@ME Capital (SYME) shares are up by 6% on the news.

Ariana – Kiziltepe Gold Production Guidance Issued: BUY
AIM-listed Gold producer in Turkey has updated the market this morning with regard to the amount of shiny yellow metal we can expect it, along with its JV colleagues, to produce at the Kiziltepe plant this year. The figure, 25,000 oz, is bang in line with what I was expecting given that the company had already indicated at much a few weeks ago, but it is nice to have the confirmation all the same.

It’s safer to stick to small caps as a bear and this is the next Omega
There now seem to be serious peace talks in Ukraine with both sides, apparently, prepared to give a little to stop the bloodshed. I know too many folks are beating the war drums and bursting with pride every time a British missile takes out a Russian tank but they are mistaken as I explained in a podcast HERE. As a human being I pray for peace and an end to the killing. If there is peace all stocks will melt up, but especially the big caps.

Ceres Power Has Suffered a Tumbling Share Price. Yet Its Future Seems Rosier than Ever.
Hello Share Smashers. It’s been some time since I’ve mentioned one of my all-time winners, Ceres Power (CWR). In the meantime, the share price has steadily fallen and now it’s relegated to one of my ordinary winners. But the selling has been overdone in my view. Especially as hydrogen as a fuel is beginning to look like the energy future. And anyway the results out this week look pretty encouraging to me.

RiverFort Global Opportunities – a Buy (again)?
In January last year we banked a 16 months, 50% gain on RiverFort Global Opportunities (RGO) at 1.20p per share. The shares went on further, to exceed 2p so that sell was premature but you never go bust banking profits! However, despite a successful development of the strategy, the shares are back below our prior sell price. Therefore, there now looks attractive potential again here. Buy again at a 1.1p offer.

Tern Plc – net asset value growth more than 80% down to serial mugging of its own investors
Today Tern (TERN) published its results for the year ended 31 December 2021 and they showed a profit before tax of £4,578,321 which was a good result. Net asset value increased by 26% per share from 7.3 pence to 9.2 pence per share. Again good. But how does Tern manage to increase its NAV?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: All about Optibiotix apart from a few comments on the most despicable MBE out there
I do comment about Julie Meyer’s latest tweet. Suicide is no joking matter and this act alone should see her lose her MBE. But most of this podcast is about events today at Optibiotix (OPTI) whose core businessis not worth MINUS £12 million as Mr Market implies. Ahead of the 24th March FYB! A pedant points out that at 14 mins in I say Optibiotix shareholders will get a distribution of 36-38%of Skinbiotherapeutics – clearly meant Probiotix. Apologies – long covid strikes again.

Julie Meyer MBE plumbs new depths - tweeting about the suicide of the mother of the journalist who has exposed her crimes
46 years ago my mother killed herself. I do not hide the fact and yes it is an event that saddens me. But I do not expose folks like Julie Meyer, who has fled Britain to avoid a six month jail term, owes taxes all over the world and is the subject of an FCA Criminal investigation because of what happened in on Oxford hospital in 1976 but because folks like Julie Meyer should be exposed. The tweet below ike others were Meyer incites the mob with talk of terrorism has been reported to twitter but nothing will be done.

Mobile Streams – argues “restricting dilution to existing shareholders”. Er, what about the placing and its price then?
Mobile Streams (MOS) CEO Mark Epstein would “like to thank shareholders for their fantastic support in both the placing and broker option… have restricted the broker option to approximately half the demand to strike a balance between satisfying shareholder demand and restricting dilution to existing shareholders”. What’s the full story?…

Tern – A Second RNS Reach In One Day….You Can Just Smell Discounted Bucket Shop Placing Coming This Way
Tom Winnifrith pointed to yesterday morning’s RNS Reach from AIM-listed jam-tomorrow IoT investment company Tern plc (TERN), noting that in effect the investment made was worth around a grand. So even if it was a rampant success it would never make a jot of difference. But not satisfied with that Tern issued another RNS Reach intra-day detailing an internet of things standards project with reference to its biggest investee Device Authority. So was this any more significant?
