Ebiquity – 2025 results, how well positioned really for “a return to growth”?

Describing itself as “the independent authority in marketing effectiveness” Ebiquity (EBQ) has announced results for the 2025 calendar year headlined “FY25 results in line with January 2026 trading update. Decisive strategic and operational actions, including key leadership changes, position the Group to return to growth”. With how creditable “in line” performance is dependent on how demanding what it’s in line with is and ‘position to return to growth’ suggesting it was most recently trading decline, what’s the results and outlook detail?

EBQ

Ebiquity – directors share purchases, attempted ramptastic?

Describing itself as “a world leader in media investment analysis”, Ebiquity plc (EBQ) has issued a further “Director/PDMR Shareholding” announcement following another just a couple of days ago. How do they compare to the valuation here with the shares currently falling below 14p?

EBQ

Ebiquity – interims, emphasises “11% H1 2025 adjusted operating profit growth” BUT…

Writing last week on Ebiquity plc (EBQ), describing itself as “a world leader in media investment analysis”, I cautioned with the shares falling towards 14p including that its upcoming half-year results statement was not going to be good. So what about the now-announced results headlined “Operational discipline delivers 11% H1 2025 adjusted operating profit growth despite North America market conditions” and the shares at 14.25p?

EBQ

Ebiquity – 2024 results emphasise “stronger H2 performance” and “encouraging start to 2025”, but how ‘encouraging’ really is the outlook?…

‘Media investment analysis’ company Ebiquity (EBQ) has announced its results for the 2024 calendar year including emphasising “stronger H2 performance” and stating “encouraging trading in the first quarter of 2025, slightly ahead of management's expectations for both revenue and adjusted operating profit. The board is encouraged by the strategic progress being made under its reshaped leadership team”. So what of a 24.5p share price still comparing to above 40p last summer?

EBQ

Ebiquity – does “gratifying that the results… are anticipated to be in line with market expectations” mean that CEO Ruben Schreurs is fooling himself or trying to fool everyone else?

Describing itself as “a world leader in media investment analysis”, Ebiquity (EBQ) has issued an “Appointment of NOMAD and Trading Update” announcement including CEO Ruben Schreurs emphasising “it is gratifying that the results for the year are anticipated to be in line with market expectations”. The shares have currently responded just over 3% higher to 22.5p, but why then does that compare with above 40p as recently as last summer?

EBQ

Ebiquity – 2023 results, value Buy for 35% upside?

“Media investment analysis” company Ebiquity (EBQ) has announced results for the 2023 calendar year and that it “look forward to making further profitable progress in 2024”. How good is the news from a current 44p share price?

EBQ

Ebiquity – trading performance far from reflected in current valuation, BUY

Earlier this month “media investment analysis” company Ebiquity (EBQ) issued a trading update which included “adjusted EBIT is expected to have increased by 31.0% to £12.0 million (2022: £9.2 million), reflecting the impact of cost management and a slightly higher margin business mix” and that it “expect to continue to make further profitable progress this year supported by our transformation programme, continued cost management and our growing Digital Media Solutions business”. We suggest such performance is far from reflected in a 40p per share offer price, £54.5 million market cap, and that the shares are a Buy.

Taken together with the other stuff from Mathieson I would suggest that his comment about Tom's wife is racist.I see no other reasoning in making comments like this.I would suggest Tom that you send this to the police who I think will be interested in discussing this particular post when they catch up with Mathieson. It is a particularly unpleasant post and needs dealing with in my opinion.

…and yet, several professional/institutional investors have a notifiable stake and seem to have held firm for some time. Go figure. It certainly isn't a pick for anyone who needs forward earnings visibility as the Croda deal which should be the jewell in the crown is shrouded in secrecy. I consider it to be like a typical nil-revenue pharma which has just licensed its patented cure for acne to AstraZeneca. If it works, everyone gets rich on 100% margins…albeit SBTX does have other small businesses in the group.Skins is undoubtedly a gamble but it is better than many AIM punts because there is already strong evidence that its IP portfolio could be valuable, with royalties only now starting to come in from Croda.Obviously, the SP has suffered as a result of the investigation into the former CEO's misdemeanours and a lengthy AIM trading suspension. But this has only set us back a year and the new Board, having steadied the ship, is now starting to see revenue growth above expectations. The upcoming FY results and 2026/27 guidance will give us a much clearer picture but the current SP looks to me like a bargain for adventure lovers.
