The FCA has confirmed that it is looking into my expose HERE of aggressive accounting at Cirata (CRTA) but more importantly as to whether its CEO Stephen Kelly sat on bad news before its placing on June 29 as described HERE. Now Kelly has served up a diabolical Q3 trading statement and as Cirata faces a cash crisis by Easter surely his position is untenable.

On Friday I looked at the aggressive way that Cirata (CRTA) accounts for sales and concluded that this completed the case for sacking CEO Stephen Kelly. I was wrong. There is more. And it gets even worse with what it implies about the June 25 placing.

In its interim results to June 30 2026, Cirata (CRTA) reported revenue of $957,000 which was down from $3,208,000 reported in the comparative period. That is bad enough for a “growth stock” but it really is only half of a shocking story.

If the NED’s at Cirata (CRTA) are doing their job properly they will not wait for the FCA to ask to see April/May/June management accounts but will review them internally now and consider the position of CEO Stephen Kelly themselves. While they are at it, has anyone considered his CV?

Cirata letter to FCA & AIM Regulation: was bad news suppressed ahead of fund raise? I bet it was!

I have been putting the timeline together and am now 100% convinced that Cirata (CRTA) was sitting on very bad price sensitive news which it withheld from investors when it did a placing at 15p, raising $7.4 million, on June 25.It sat on that bad news until July 24. After yesterday’s diabolical interims and a lack of profits warning the regulators must surely launch a full investigation. I have sent a letter.

The obscene pay of CEO Stephen Kelly and disgusting way funds in a loss making company are used for things like sponsoring his daughter’s hockey team, the repeatedly missed targets and ongoing cash burn maker the shares uninvestable. Now it seems that some of the peasants who have ignored my repeated sell advice are seeing the light and are revolting.
