Most recently on ‘partnerships strategy’ housebuilding group Vistry (VTY), in May with the shares falling below 300p I wrote ‘argues some “excellent progress”, but is full-year “adjusted” profit now really likely to even be “towards the middle of the range of analysts' forecasts”?’. The shares most recently closed at 252.4p and what about further announcements from the group today?
I previously wrote on ‘partnerships strategy’ housebuilding group Vistry (VTY) ‘red flags on Christmas Eve; another profit warning despite having issued one as recently as last month!’ in 2024, concluding then its continuing uncertainty and lack of profit visibility suggested still avoid as the shares fell to around 550p. The shares most recently closed at just above 325p and what of they now falling below 300p on the back of an “AGM Trading update”?

A “Trading update” today though commences including noting that the group “has recently become aware” that within its South division the total full-life cost projections to complete 9 developments “have been understated by c. 10% of the total build costs”, though also including “it is important to note that the group as a whole has around 300 developments”, so what of a current more than 25% lower share price response to below 950p?
