Tom Winnifrith Bearcast & Video: The Great Bear Marc Cohodes interviewed on the Concordia fraud - this sounds so Cloudtag familiar

Published 13 January 2017, 08:46

I was watching an old video today in which the great bear Marc Cohodes was interviewed about Concordia a fraud he called as a fraud. The shares were just over $100. They were c$37 when this interview went live. They are now sub $3. Listen to what he says about how investors and fraud companies react to him. This sounds very familiar to me as I discuss in the bearcast below which compares Cloudtag (CTAG) and my life to that of Marc and Concordia.

Visit to Jiasen International June 2015 - Red Flags Ahoy, when's the delisting?

Published 31 July 2015, 02:08

A man known to me has recently been to China to see Jiasen (JSI). I was a bear before, having read this I am even more of a bear. Too many things just do not stack up. There clearly is a Jiasen business. But it is just nothing like what is claimed by the listed company. On the basis of this on the ground reporting by a fellow who understands industrial processes I state that beyond doubt I do not believe that its stated profits, sales and net assets are real.

BREAKING: Tintra – vomit making video reminds me of Tingo: shares join JP Jenkins (pro tem)

Published 2 February 2024, 10:29

I have written to my old pal Malcolm Burne in utter horror as I received the email below from his matched bargain platform JP Jenkins boasting that Tintra (TNT), the AIM Company of the year 2022, had joined JPJ. Our exposes on this website were countless but in essence, insiders dumped vast numbers of shares at hugely inflated prices on the back of spoof fundings at a huge premium which did not happen, then a takeover at 150p which did not happen and a tender offer at 150p which Tintra says may still happen but has not. And it will not.

Bidstack: Covid 19 trading statement bluster less than 5 weeks from bankruptcy

Published 30 March 2020, 11:56

The only metric you need to know about Bidstack (BIDS)  is how much cash it has left. Based on the likely run rate at the year end, on the fact that it has not laid off staff but has hired it is almost certain that by the end of April the number will be nothing at all and that, barring a bailout placing, it will be crash landing in Tits Up Alley. A trading statement today more or less confirmed that in what it did NOT say. Naturally CEO Lyin’ James Draper tries to spoof gullible investors.

Nervous Neil Woodford in a pickle over Burford, but Tom Winnifrith gets plaudits of Muddy Waters

Published 7 August 2019, 16:12

Burford Capital has responded briefly to the damning report on it by Muddy Waters (aka Carson Block) by saying it will get back to us. Ho-hum – I don’t suppose that is quite what Nervous Neil Woodford wanted to hear as his second largest investment crashes by 63%, to add to yesterday’s 19% drop. His nails must be chewed to the bone – if he’s got any fingers left from catching all those falling knives. And as if things could not get any worse…..

Tom Winnifrith Christmas share tips, free booze, mince pies, 4 companies - December 4

Published 19 November 2017, 07:42

Actually I am in Greece on December 4 or at least on my way home after the olive harvest. But, in return for a small donation to Woodlarks, I have agreed to record a video from the Greek Hovel with a few market thoughts and a couple of share tips for Christmas.

Video: Quoth the Raven - No Soft Landing In Sight, Means Unavoidable Performance in Hard Assets

Published 6 February 2024, 14:44

Foul mouthed ( and I say that as praise) podcaster Chris Irons of Quoth the Raven is still a bear but seems to have become a bitcoin bull.

Shares in Quenron (QPP) plunged last week to close last week at 136.5p. They are now more than 75% off their highs. Where do we go next? Down obviously. The question is when not if they hit 0p. And here’s why.

Giving Gulf Keystone the benefit of the doubt

Published 28 August 2014, 15:40

So much hype and hysteria surrounds Gulf Keystone (GKP) that determining a valuation can be an unnecessarily emotional affair. I’ve been increasingly bullish on the stock, since the publication of the Competent Persons Report. However, today’s numbers have given me pause for thought. At 77.5p (last seen), Gulf is valued at £688million. For a company which produced 2.2million barrels of oil in the first half, there is no escaping from the high degree of expectation priced into this stock.

Financial Video #58 - Rob Terry is a liar, a conman and a fraud please please sue me for libel edition

Published 9 November 2014, 09:48

Quite simply Robert Terry and Quindell (QPP) have lied to investors engaged in securities and accounting fraud and so Mr Terry is a con man. He has let it be known to the morons that he is going to sue Tom Winnifrith for libel. Tom says "Go ahead, make my day bitchez." He explains why thje fraudster Rob Terry  is acting in this way and the various other empty threats he will employ as he tries to flog as many shares as he can before Quenron goes tits up. The Sheriff of AIM is not flinching.

Tom Winnifrith writes to Aidan Earley & his dumb lawyer: see you in Court Bitchez

Published 24 January 2017, 08:38

On 10th January the convicted felon, serial liar,, bankrupt and man banned from being a company director after the Wood Hall fiasco, Mr Aidan Earley instructed his lawyer to write a menacing missive to me (at the wrong address.). Today I have replied. I will not be removing evidence of the Worthington (WRN) fraud as Mr Earley wishes, if needs be I shall the bitchez in Court and - like last time - win.  My letter, sent just now, and the letter sent by Earley's lawyer are below.

Success in Junior Miners – The Malartic and Eleonore Deposits

Published 25 April 2014, 07:36

When a deposit gets big enough, a major mining company may seek to acquire the company, paying a healthy takeover premium to shareholders. The takeover battle for Osisko, which we talked about yesterday, shows that big mining companies will fight tooth and nail to get their hands on a big new ore body. Goldcorp fought hard with Agnico Eagle and Yamana for control of Osisko’s Malartic gold deposit. Goldcorp lost the battle, but is garnering lots of attention today for another acquisition – which it made successfully.

Amaroq Minerals – record gold grade Nalunaq drilling results, Buy

Writing on minerals development and exploration company in Greenland, Amaroq Minerals (AMRQ) last week with the shares at 57p we noted significant further gold exploration potential. We now note a “Nalunaq Drilling Results deliver record gold grade”-titled announcement from the company.

VIDEO: Edison Interview with Avanti's David Williams - how big is your cock, huge or massive? And more

Published 7 June 2016, 10:20

Paid for researcher Edison is, of course most famous as being the employer of convicted felon Champagne Charlie Gibson but it is also there to take cash for helping ramp shares in piss poor companies. And few companies could be as piss poor as Avanti Communications (AVN) run by uber bombast David "not worth a million bucks a year" Williams.  But not only does Edison publish crap research on Avanti with a target price of 427p. It also does video interviews. Cripes, the bird quizzing Williams makes Zak Mir look like Jeremy Paxman on steroids.  As you enjoy this shite from Edison you will note the shares are now just 59.5p as Williams seeks emergency bailout funding. Oi, taffy its time for a statement!

Photo and video special: Tom Winnifrith and Nigel Somerville go to visit Neil Woodford in person

Published 17 October 2019, 09:15

I happened to be in Oxford, for family reasons, and my colleague Nigel Somerville lives close to the City of Lost Causes and so we thought we'd pay Neil Woodford a visit. After the past 1000 articles exposing the soon to be ex fund manager since 2015 it was the least we could do.

Inspirit: Watch this video to see why we remain buyers

Published 27 April 2014, 17:33

We accept that to date our Inspirit* (INSP) tip has yet to fly. The shares are now 1.55p-1.6-p – compared to a 1.8p (offer) tip price. But the volumes on the sell-off are not great and it will not take much to turn this around BIG TIME.
