Actual Experience – “Significant UK Central Government Contract” announcement, attempted ramptastic?

Published 21 March 2023, 15:39

‘Analytics-as-a-service’ provider Actual Experience (ACT) emphasises a “Significant UK Central Government Contract”, secured in conjunction with partner Vodafone, and the shares have currently responded up to 1.125p. Though what’s the detail?

Amigo is no friend of mine

Published 30 August 2018, 08:47

I know somebody who regularly trots out the line 'all that matters is how much money you make'. I am a big supporter of capitalism and laissez-faire thought but this is such a naive statement to make. Economists would talk about the need to factor in externalities and additionally I would cite that life is a trade-off problem...and a single minded pursuit of money, to the detriment of absolutely everything else, tends to bite you where it hurts at some point. Now before I convince myself that Jezza is the red saviour of our proud country...time to talk about Amigo (AMGO).

Reckless Neil Woodford gambles with other people’s money on Induction Healthcare IPO

Published 11 May 2019, 09:49

Induction Healthcare is coming to the AIM market in only the third IPO of the year on AIM. That kind of tells you now ain’t a great time, but leaving that aside, Neil Woodford has signed up for IPO shares (with no previous investment) in a company which seems to be a very long way from profitability. So is it his Equity Income Fund buying a company with no income? Maybe it is his Income Focus fund – although no matter how hard I focus, I still can’t see any dividends. Or perhaps it is Woodford Patient Capital (which has no cash)? I’ve no idea.

The new Cloudtag distributor - this is a joke how can Nomad Cairn sign off on this crap?

Published 16 December 2016, 01:03

Now for the drill down in detail on the horseshite served up by liars and fraudsters Cloudtag (CTAG) and morally bankrupt Nomad Cairn in yesterday's disgraceful RNS - the overall take is HERE. Let us now look at the new distributor in the UK and Europe Nemesis. It will work alongside Second Chance which used to have an exclusive deal and was guaranteeing 2016 sales of $5.2 million, It has delivered nil. So will Nemesis do any better?

What is the real value of the Eqtec deal?

Published 18 January 2019, 01:27

There was much glee amongst certain individuals on Tuesday morning when an RNS dropped from Eqtec (EQT) announcing a contract, and some were very quick to point out that my opinion on the company had been incorrect. That followed my articles here saying that I wouldn’t touch the company, and although the news caused the share price to spike, my opinion on the company is completely unchanged – in fact the news actually reinforced my view!...

Monitise – full-year results: losses up, shares again down

Published 17 September 2014, 11:40

Mobile money technology platforms and services company Monitise (MONI) has announced results for its year ended 30th June 2014 and a “confident outlook”. Is this though still discounted in a share price which has fallen from 80p earlier this year to a current 43.5p?

The 13 most embarrassing comments on Chris Parrish's quixotic Quindell petition

Published 15 February 2015, 01:55

Chris Parrish is mad at us, ShareProphets, and he wants us regulated by the FCA. The petition uses our logo and, in a mere 478 words, calls out ShareProphets or Tom Winnifrith 11 times. Check out Parrish's petition here. It's a hoot.

Maestrano – another disaster IPO on the AIM casino warns again

Published 5 February 2019, 04:01

Floated on the AIM Cesspit in May 2018 at 15p a share and raising £6 million Maestrano (MNO) describes itself as a “cloud business integration platform with cross-app data synchronization” I’d describe it as an univestable piece of shit.

StreaksAI – instead of talking about providing “romantic or platonic” services with AI chatbots!, how about providing a balance sheet update?!

Published 2 November 2023, 13:59

Describing itself as “a UK-based generative AI platform” company StreaksAI (STK) “is pleased to announce the launch of 'Streaks Companion'”. What of this announcement with the shares currently a few percent lower in response at 1.125p?

Argo Blockchain – disingenuity ahead of sack-the-board General Meeting

Published 10 May 2019, 09:13

Argo Blockchain (ARB) has updated including that it “reiterates that it expects to be operating cash breakeven during May… expects to turn EBITDA break-even in the second half of this year” but also that it “has recently contracted to purchase 1,000 S17's for a total consideration of £1.7m to be put into production in early July”

A new alternative Bearcast link for those having problems

Published 6 April 2024, 17:49

Some Bearcast listeners – like me – are still having trouble getting new Bearcasts  with the Apple Podcast player on iPhones and computers. This is some sort of Apple issue – the secret Bearcast feed works fine for everyone else. So I have created a temporary workaround until Apple pulls its finger out of its ear.

Explosive new Document: Union Jack Oil, the spooks and the ICO offences against its own shareholders, advisers and journalists

Published 9 January 2022, 17:56

I have been sent a new document sent by corporate spooks Fortisat to its client Union Jack Oil (UJO), “Investigation Update Report” 22nd October. It is utterly damning and suggests that the company was aware and sanctioning activity which is a clear breach of the rules set out by the Information Commissioner, not to say utterly creepy. Resignations or sackings must surely result from this expose. In today’s article I shall name some of those targetted by Union Jack and is shameless boss David Bramhill.

Today's Primary Bid offer is Versarien at 145p - you know I am almost tempted (in a shabby way)

Published 22 September 2018, 07:44

At 175p Versarien (VRS) is valued at £263 million. I cannot argue with two writers on this site (Lucian and Cynical) that the valuation looks absurd based on historic profits and cashburn or even on some of the more optimistic forecasts. But it has now announced it is raising £2.9 million (or more) at 145p via Primary Bid and I am almost tempted to have a flutter. Here's why...

You may still love its website, but life is getting tougher for Rightmove plc

Published 28 July 2023, 09:57

I have never been a big user of Rightmove (RMV), but I do see that a couple of homes relatively near to where I live have decided to quit trying to sell this year. That is sensible and I am sure they are not the only ones around the country to come to a similar conclusion. How is all this - and lower house prices generally - impacting Rightmove?

Keep avoiding Deliveroo shares

Published 19 January 2023, 10:34

I have pretty much had the same view on Deliveroo (ROO) shares since its comedy IPO in 2021: by all means have a Deliveroo delivery a couple of times a year, but don’t buy the shares! I last said that in August when the shares were just below a one quid price and, despite lower bond yields and better larger cap markets since, the stock is still about the same price today. And you will not be surprised to know that today’s update is still banging on about how the online food delivery company will be profitable…at some point later this decade!

Is my Supply@ME Capital owning stalker Charlotte really a man?

Published 11 March 2021, 11:29

In yesterday’s bearcast, I relayed how I had been contacted by a Charlotte Daniels who I was convinced was trying to entrap me and whose phraseology strongly indicated the use of google translate. Two emails later, I wonder if Charlotte, a shareholder in the fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME), is in fact a British male soccer yob. Here is the complete correspondence, judge for yourself:

Nektan – spinning out of control

Published 14 January 2016, 06:51

With shares in Nektan (NKTN) dropping significantly this week following the resignation of its CEO and the share price now down at 107p and a market cap of £25 million, I wanted to do a piece on why this stock, ignoring the micro-caps, was my bear pick for the year and why I have been bearish on it more generally for a while.

Audioboom growth rate is too slow and cash burn too high

Published 29 August 2016, 08:47

Often it can be hard to value companies in the media sector, and at times quite a lot of future revenue potential is being factored into the current share price and the rate of growth plays a big part in that.

Today’s Primary Bid Offer deadline 9 PM or when book filled: Zenith Energy

Published 20 June 2018, 09:55

I know nothing about Zenith ( ZEN) other than it is listed in Canada as well as on the main market here in London and it is an oil and gas company operating the largest onshore oilfield in Azerbaijan. So I make no recommendation.
