Quindell Bulletin Board/twitter Moron Competition – Week 3

By popular demand this contest is back. As last week I will award a bottle of wine to the reader who posts up the tweet or Bulletin Board comment from a Quindell shareholders which demonstrates his or her stupidity most clearly - the entries last week were brilliant.  The entries in week one were also incredibly amusing. Whether that comes in the form of just not understanding how shares work, a willingness to believe the most errant nonsense or just plain ramping/peddling of TA gobbledygook, feel free to post away. As before Kebab cannot post his own comments as entries, we need to give the other morons a chance and he is in a league of his own. Meanwhile

From the above, I see that dasv is working on a figure for net assets of £929m.

Canaccord’s estimated net value at 31/12/14 is £1,273.4m, £344.4m higher.

By the sounds of things QPP was the stronger of the two in the RAC/QPP tie up. RAC has massive debts and was relying on QPP to foot the bill through warrants. Basically QPP was buying the business because RAC cannot afford anything with their massive debt.

They seem to be competing just fine. Cash calls appear to be gone for the foreseeable future.

WTF!! get the clown sectioned!! He/She must be hosing cash with this mindset.

it is a great shame that Tony Bowers will not now see the resurgence of the QPP share price, and the humiliation of Daniel Yu and Tom Winnifrith when they are proven to be so wrong about Quindell for a second consecutive year

I am sure that along with many of us, he found them to be a great annoyance and pain in the butt.

I would say that the new depths were plumbed when appalling smears were put about concerning the Quindell accounts.

Some simple advice, ignore any allegations of fraud until proven.

The QPP Board of Directors have committed themselves to obtaining genuine shareholder value and surely have some options they can take, apart from an excellent 5-year Canadian contract we will likely hear some other good news from them before the Q4 results.

There is no client complaints or any reports from any of their 1000’s claimants that QPP’s business is anything but excellent.

If I can just add a couple of my own observations:-

We contributors to ShareProphets also mourn the banning of investment guru and serial ramper QPP1000, as his arrogance was only outweighed by his stupidity! He always gave in abundance!

Despite the evil hedge funds decreasing their short position, Quindell’s share price continues to fall, hence the continued viral nonsense directed towards ‘shorter’s’.
Somehow, the fact that probably their own BOD and their inner chamber of buddies has been more responsible for the demise of their investment continues to elude them!

fishoutof, you have been found out. QPP share price is pretty well correlated with FTSE100 from May 2014, that is, after the GCL and friends had got it crashed. Anyone with a modicum of math background could examine that easily.

I love it when the posters with agenda stick their neck out thus. It helps me strengthen my view.

This poster clearly has excellent english and maths skills. And of course the QPP share price has been tracking the FTSE and today’s fall is due to the QE news.

Stick to the facts ? For me they are quite clear right now. The sp is as low as ever pretty much, Under 130p. It has now been 6 full months since the attack and we have not recovered 1%, we are in fact twice as low as the day after the attack. I am currently 200k down, and it makes me sick in my stomach.

  38. Russ O'Callaghan

Tom, I’ve spent about an hour and a half now scrolling through the Quindell bulletin board, which I confess I haven’t done for about a week or two now since this thread got started and I find something there very worrying.
There’s a clear tendency to brand every poster who has doubts in the share a troll and even to filter out such views while wild enthusiasm for the board of directors and for the company in general is praised to the skies with RECOMMENDs abounding underneath such stuff. I’m beginning to think that some of this has the traits of being some sort of boiler-room scam that perhaps the administrators of the LSE bulletin boards are not aware of.
The BUYS / SELLS page of the website shows what clearly must amount to hundreds of private investors jumping into this questionable enterprise. Shouldn’t those who run this site be a bit responsible / concerned about this.

  39. Russ O'Callaghan

Tom, Now that I’ve got that one off my chest, can I submit a candidate for moron of the week? But, no, it’s NOT from the Quindell bulletin board; it’s from that weird eclectic pot of FINANCIAL journalists…the MOTLEY FOOL!
    What about this beauty:

“As a result, it could be worth waiting for a succession of [Quindell] results that show the fears of investors are unfounded. After all, patience has never lost any investor any money and, although Quindell’s share price has already fallen heavily in recent months, there could be further falls to come in the meantime”

What do you think of THAT one then?!
“Patience has NEVER lost any investor any money”

    Average down conundrumToday 13:46Morning all

Stupidly averaged down earlier in week by adding another 2000 pounds at 140. Now down on the 140 as well.

My stupidity was NOT that I bought more … But that I missed this dip and opportunity to reduce average even more.

Looking forward to next year … My paper losses are now around 30 k. So will be selling 5 k next week when price back at 150 then buy back following week at sub 140 … Only way I can see chipping away at loss.

Selling and taking loss and walking away will never be an option, as I would rather lose the lot than see it a year later trading where we all know it will end up … At 600 plus. ( that pain would be worse)

How about this one from Optrade on LSE entitled “Shorter Tactics”

Is this allowed? Can someone explain how this can’t be so, surely if they are late reported trades the time would be different and the SP would jump up?

    Hi,

Here is the wonderful Beckers_CFC (iii board) from the pathetic QPPSAG cult with his response to another poster.

    “C.U.N.T”

At least he’s found the title of his autobiogaphy.

  49. Am loving the way they’ve picked up on poor Carlyle associate Carlos Robles with scant concern that this is a common Spanish name. He’s obviously the mastermind running a multi-million pound short after a 16 hour day shuffling private equity paper and doyen of the double bluff by filing the position under his own name. I actually think they are close but it’s more likely to be Andreas de Robles who sailed to Hispaniola in 1512 and has been lying low before the coordinated short attack.

    You will never

Get an opportunity to buy at these prices. It’s madness. In a way I have to thank GCR, TW et all. This company has bee scrutinised to death more than any listed companies and you still have doubts? Seriously? Anyway just topped up again. If I find anymore money then I will keep topping up. And in 5 to 10 years time when it’s a FTSE100 company then I’d look back and smile

  51. 5 types of troll
    Created by A_E_Marsh – Tue 11:31Tue 12:29leonsix4Go to Thread
The single post signup trolls are getting more frequent and more easy to spot.

I’ve noticed that K3VMC seems to have become an expert in spotting them and calling them out in one post now.

My theory is that the 50+ troll accounts we have seen in the last few days are actually a group of only 4-5 people that are being paid to sign up and convey a specific (unconvincing) back-story, and these troll accounts fall into 5 categories.

As a couple of people have asked me about this. Here are the five different groups of troll that I have observed :-

    1) The Hindsight Warning Troll – “I lost loads of money in this share and can’t pay my mortgage this month – Don’t end up like me, get out while you can”

    2) The Damage The Value Of His Own Stocks Troll – “I’m heavily invested in this share, but I have serious doubts about the future of the company“

    3) The Mountain Out Of A Molehill Troll – “Oh my god, I am thinking about investing in QPP, but while doing some research I found out about the New York Office scandal and now I have serious doubts”

    4) The trolls friend – “Hey guys, we should all listen to what cdoolan/yazzy/davidjnr has to say and stop being so rude to them. They are just trying to help us and we should learn from everyone whether they are long or short”

    5) The Fictional Fact Troll – “I’ve just signed up here to do some research on QPP and I just found out that Quindell only made seven pence profit last year, Rob Terry is actually a robot, the business model is not sustainable because if we cross reference the Fibonacci sequence with the number of planets in the solar system, then we get a McTrundle factor of minus one, which is really bad for sales”

A_E_Marsh, good information source, very useful. In terms of the ramblings of TW, it is plain to see that his dishevelled posona, run down appearance and growing state of paranoia bemoans a guy who has metamorphosised into a bitter deluded character that is obsessed in ‘substantiating’ financial impropriety , based on assumption and a misguided perception that ‘ smoke must exsist’ before the fire.

A clue to his mental state, could be gleamed from the fact that TW himself, stated, during his last presentation in his own words that “ his wife was struggling to come to terms with his obsession in pawing through reams of Quindell accounts/documents”. That statement when put in context says a lot more than I think. When people closest to you raise doubt, which appears to have been ignored, one can be identified as being in a dark place.

I continue to be amassed that individuals often come on the board, after another ‘ supposed revelation’ and metaphorically chew out their nails with worry’ ……… Are you sure.

If TW nonsence was to be believed, Fidelity, KPMG, Cannocord, Direct Line, FCA and Aviva -Canada, have all been duped. Background, a failed fianancial Investor, Director hanging on to his restaurant, seemingly working hard, as the bit owner of his pizza business. Is there any wonder that his ‘ no holds barred’ and spiteful retorts to anybody who tables criticism is synonymous with a person ‘ fighting a corner for dear life’.

Every show of agression or sexism, depletes his agenda to influence, becuase it demonstrates a lack of professionalism. He will inevitably become a sad and ‘ spent force’.

Well he (RT) could be accused of buying before good news, as a fast growing company like QPP has so much of it when can directors buy their own shares without it ever being insider dealing?
