InnovaDerma – argues “excellent progress”… so why a further 8%+ share price fall?
InnovaDerma (IDP) has updated including “strong performances across our topical brands and Prolong… Skinny Tan will benefit from a full-year's contribution from its ranging in 1,300 Boots' stores and continued innovation during this financial year. Boots has also increased shelving for Roots… For the first four months of the new financial year, revenues were 38% higher compared with the same period last year”. Having started 2019 rising above 90p, the shares are though currently a further more than 8% lower on the day at 72.5p. Hmmm…

Terrible deal for Sound Energy - it remains a bargepole stock
It has been fascinating watching Sound Energy (SOU) play out over the past few years, but probably less so if you’ve actually been invested in it!

WH Ireland – Excuses are like Arseholes…but repitition of them is boring
On March 5 this year struggling, cash guzzling, pensioner mugging & free speech denying, Nomad and Broker WH Ireland raised £4.9 million at 45p saying that “Following a broad review of the Group's likely future regulatory capital requirements and in particular, the Group's regulatory capital buffers, the Directors believe the Placing will ensure that the Group has sufficient resources in place to satisfy the FCA's present capital adequacy requirements.” Wind forward just 8 months and 1 day and….

Marks & Spencer – you know what happens when there are no believers...
You all know I am a Marks & Spencer (MKS) shareholder and - as I described here a couple of months ago - my basic view that the recent harsher and focused management style of Archie Norman and Steve Rowe has given the company the most viable future potential backdrop for a generation. I still think this despite being down on my two quid odd average in price and the recent resignation (or push out?) of the CFO, who I do not think was up to that sort of a job. Today's half-year update ('far reaching change - delivered at pace') is a classic interim statement…

As Bidstack shares continue to tank CEO Lyin’ James Draper takes to LinkedIn for an unofficial trading statement
Of course what Bidstack (BIDS) should be doing is issuing a trading statement via RNS. Does it still expect to have 24 games live by December 31 as forecast by Peterhouse. Or to have FY revenues of £5.75 million (having managed £26,000 in H1) or to achieve FY losses of just £500,000 (having lost £1.5 million in H1). The answer of course is No, No and No which is why the company should be issuing a formal profits warning and if Nomad Mark Brady at SPARK was not such an utter poltroon he’d be forcing the issue. Instead Lyin’ James Draper has issued a trading statement on LinkedIn. My guess is that his nose is just that bit longer as a result.

Food And Fab Gear Keep this British Jumbo Buoyant in the Stormy Retail Sea
Hello, Share Pullers. Food and clothing don’t usually go together but they do in the case of Associated British Foods (ABF) and Primark. The food bit owns the fab gear bit. And Primark, which often seems to be crammed with shoppers both young and old, could be propelling British Foods along...

The best time to kick a man is when he’s down - ref. Sirius Minerals
Lucian Miers calls in from Cambodia where he is escaping the nonsense of the election campaign, to ask is Jo Swinson really as dim as she seems and is Mothercare (MTC) bust. I am afraid that I have no answer to either question...

Castleton Technology – can there really be a good level of confidence in the material second half improvement it seems to expect?
Previously writing on software and managed services provider to the public and not-for-profit sectors Castleton Technology (CTP), last month I noted it is admitted “trading in HY2019 has been behind expectations”… and even the noted anticipated second half “is not expected to be sufficient to meet current market expectations”. Now results for its half-year ended 30th September 2019...

BP – Q3 2019 results review
BP (BP.) has announced a third quarter underlying replacement cost profit of $2.3 billion, compared to $3.8 billion a year earlier, though also a maintained $0.1025 quarterly dividend per share and that it’s “making strong progress with our divestment plans and building exciting new opportunities in fast-growing downstream markets in Asia”…

Previously writing on Sabien Technology (SNT), last month I concluded that with a market cap of circa £3 million, the current fundamentals saw me continue to avoid. Today a “Directorate Change” announcement – and the shares currently circa 4% lower on the back of it, to 0.23p – a £2.7 million market cap…

Vice stocks update – Imperial Brands and GVC
My name is Chris Bailey. I am an extremely clean living person with a couple of minor disclosures to make. One will become apparent in an article Tom has asked me to write in a month or so. The other is that I have a filthy share investing habit, with my personal pension fund having a reasonable chunk invested in demerit areas such as tobacco and gambling...

Filta Group – from less than two months ago “confidence in the outlook for the remainder of the year” to…
Previously writing on self-styled “leading commercial kitchen services provider” Filta Group (FLTA), in August last year with the shares at circa 230p I concluded precious little Benjamin Graham ‘margin of safety’ (“for absorbing the effect of miscalculations or worse than average luck”). Possibly one for the watchlist for a better entry level, but currently, with the potential reward v. risk trade-off looking heavily tilted to the latter, one I avoid. Today a “Trading Update”…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Hey Ed what scandal are you going to "predict" next? Bernie Madoff? Enron?
I start and end with a request that each Bearcast listener backs the Woodlarks Christmas appeal. Even £2 each and we'd be there. So go on donate now HERE. Then it is onto reports that the stricken Woodford empire may be selling £500 million of healthcare stocks. But at what price? Then it is onto how Ed Croft of Stockopedia, the company that flagged up mega fraud Quindell as one of the top 10 AIM stocks to buy, is claiming to have "predicted" the Neil Woodford scandal. Of course it did not but no doubt this persuades more folks to sign up to Ed's flawed system. Then I crow as I discuss Nanoco (NANO) which I called out as long ago as 2015 and discuss where next for Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) as its open offer flops.

Ryanair Could Face Headwinds which Might Keep the Share Price Grounded
Hello Share Flingers. It’s easy to spot possible headwinds in the flying game. The green lobby against air travel is getting stronger. Brexit will make travel to 27 countries more difficult. LightwaveRF – from in July ramptastic & set ‘to more than double revenue’, to fundraising in August, to by the end of September…
Previously writing on self-styled “leading smart home solutions provider” LightwaveRF (LWRF), in mid-August I noted discounted fundraising (as warned)… why the discount to the prior close then – and further to an approaching 9p share price in early July? A rise to that level followed the company being “pleased to announce that it has signed an agreement with Google to jointly market its Lightwave compatible smart speakers”. Now a “trading update for the year ended 30 September 2019”. After the placing only in mid-August, this should be ok then surely…

Versarien – a Guy Fawkes cartoon from a moron
In the absence of any real news or even fake news to support the utterly ludicrous valuation of uber-promote Versarien (VRS), not even a response to the press reports from Friday, its talented moron cartoonist has been at it again as you can see below. Natch Neill Ricketts is the hero and myself and Lucian Miers are about to get burned. Whatever…
