DUCK AND DIVE
You may not know (most people apart from Zak Mir ignore the stock) that fastjet (FJET) doesn’t hedge so is benefiting fully from the fall in jet fuel prices – which in its African marketplace has been 45% in the past year.
What with passenger numbers up in Nov and Dec by 90%+ YOY, yield per passenger up 30% YOY and fuel accounting for 40% of the airline’s operating costs, heck – they could even have started to generate cash!
The share price has been hammered by an overhang for the past 6 months – which looks to have been finally cleared – preventing any upward movement although the newsflow has been very positive. If the SP is about to catch up, we could see 200-300% gains in short order.
