Oh coooeeee! blinkx (BLNX) and your bully boy lawyers – make sure you have pencilled in April 18 into your diary because Ben is coming back and he has more to say. Oh yes… it is time for round 2 with the Web Sheriff and we all know who won last time don’t we?

Ben,
Was second to none on the day and a jolly nice chap to suit. The minute he entered the RMPC where we sat enjoying coffee he lit the fuse with some history of his Aunt and Martin Luther King
Worth booking just to see Prof. Edelman

Any chance you could publish the letters you received from Blinkx?
I can’t be the only reader who wants to compare them against the kind of letters which Ben likes to send to restaurant operators…

Ben Elderman a ‘jolly nice chap’? Suggest you do a google search on ‘ben elderman chinese’ to see what the associate professor has been up to recently, then draw your own conclusions.

I do object to Tom criticising letters from “bully boy lawyers” whilst calling Ben Edelman a “hero”, when Ben is guilty of exactly that behaviour. Frankly it is hypocritical.
As it happens, I would genuinely like to see the letters from Blinkx so that I can make up my own mind on whether they are truly bullying in nature or just the professional response one might expect in the circumstances.

Ben’s reported behaviour towards a Chinese restaurant was appalling – he seems to know all about bully boy tactics and little about running a business.

Looks a little young to be a professor, though I gather the term is used loosely in the US for pretty much any academic who lectures. Name on every paper, eh? Re. the Chinese restaurant incident (I’m curious as to how the media got wind of the saga), there is absolutely no equivalence between the “bully boy” tactics to which TW was exposed and BE’s decision to pursue the matter of the pricing discrepancy. The bottom line is that BE was right – that’s an objective statement of fact, and he at least had the good grace to concede the food was delicious.
Speaking of Harvard Law professors, if it’s shown that Prince Andrew’s accuser lied what do you think should happen to her? I was alluding to Alan Dersowich, of course, who apparently had similar allegations by the same individual levelled at him, and who has nobly voiced his outrage at the dreadful miscarriage of justice to which Tyson was subjected (nice guy Mike, and – yes – I have). And whilst I’m here and on the subject, who do reckon would win in a fight between Dershowitz and Noam – bleedin’ – Chomsky? My money would be on Alan.
