After yesterday’s unconvincing statement re the share price movement, this morning it got worse for Optimal as the Telegraph’s Questor column today said sell – see HERE. Perhaps Questor has learned a thing or two from reading ShareProphets!

Great article, again!
I think investors are getting the message…. don’t touch these companies, with a (Paul Scott) bargepole! Investors must have total confidence in management and those managers that seem to be putting their own person profit in front those of their shareholders are now suffering, big time!
As with Piggy Austin, its time that Mr Leonoff does the honourable and come clean about these suspect dealings with Equities First!
I’m not too sure about this being such a great business either, judging by comments posted by customers and employee’s…… think Paypal maybe a much safer bet!

Alcira – flattery will get you everywhere!
I do think Mr Leonoff needs to answer the questions. I cannot for the life of me understand why, if all was above board, this was not done weeks ago.
Just for balance, since you mention Paul Scott, I see he is on record as thinking the drop is way overdone and I get the impression he sees it as a bit of a storm in a teacup, so maybe not one of his bargepoles here. I have a great respect for Paul Scott. I just wish Mr Leonoff would get a proper clarification out which rules out any rule breaches etc and gives a full description of the deal in unabiguous terms – then we can all move on. My own view is that he made a petty silly error going into this deal with EFH, that the original RNS was totally inadequate and the subsequent clarifications have not been clear cut. This whole thing with OPAY was outed here on ShareProphets – as it was with Cloudbuy (CBUY) and Angle (AGL). The difference with AGL in particular is that pretty much a full and unambiguous disclosure followed. Surely that was a better way to deal with it!
Too many AIM companies get away with half-truths, questionable statements and even downright lies in RNSs which hide the truth that a company is in serious trouble. I am not suggesting for a moment that this is the case with OPAY, but the behaviour sure as hell reads like there is something to hide. It looks to me that everyone has got so used to this on the AIM Casino that it is accepted these days. I do not think that is how things should be.
As such, until there is a proper disclosure I personally cannot see how this is an investable proposition. And so I’m with Tom Winnifrith on that point.

It has to be said, that in just 20 months Shareprophets has shaped AIM…sorry, shook AIM up to the point where investors have faith in the truth being dragged out of the unscrupulous thieving bastards that run some of the companies that just don’t have the right to be listed entities. I never shorted stocks, but I do now. All we need now is the people with authority to act on the fantastic work of Shareprophets and grow a pair.
Keep it up people.

Elrico – one can only hope! For my small part, thank you for the encouragement!
