Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
When I interviewed Kibo Mining (KIBO) CEO Louis Coetzee six weeks ago, the company had just placed at 1.5p. Shareholders were furious and there were even whispers of an action group to oust the board. Realistically, such an attempt would have been futile, and today the company’s outlook is much rosier.

“Part of Kibo’s problem has been its chequered past in terms of delivery”
Sorry to hijack the thread a little but if you think Kibo’s slack you ought to check ought Edenville (same sector and same part of the world, of course). Holy Messerschmitts! Now I don’t know but I’ve been told a big legged woman ain’t got no soul. Sorry – that was Led Zep. I meant now I don’t know but speaking of dodginess in the context of shorting, I still think the ‘significant position’ taken out in it the DAY BEFORE the share placing at a 50% or so discount to the market price (which naturally knackered the SP) not so long ago whiffs like durian fruit. Now who was it by again – Mother Teresa, Vera Lynn, Michael Palin? Ah yes, that’s right – it was Chris Potts. Might well have been a pure coincidence, of course, but given the enthusiasm of the FCA when it comes to investigating such matters guess we’ll never know.
