Hello share twisters. The government is interfering with our banks again. They've launched yet another threat to the very fragile share prices of these very necessary institutions.

Malcolm,
I don’t think I’ve read an article of your’s that I’ve disagreed with more than this one, and I must have read at least 100 of your articles by now!
The big 4 banks are running an oligopoly and it’s about time this was looked into. The big 4 banks needs to be broken up – Lloyds in particular – so this investigation is well over-due in my opinion.
Oligopolies are result in higher prices and a lower service, they are by their very nature anti-capitalistic and bad for all consumers .i.e. everyone but the banks themselves and their shareholders. If, for one moment, you could divorce yourself from your own self-interest in the big 4 banks doing well (because you’re invested in at least one of them I presume) you surely must agree this investigation is great news and to think otherwise is anti-capitalistic.
Just my 2 cents.
Kind regards,
The chap who usually agrees with you, and fights your corner to defend when you’re attached by TW from time to time.
