VRS

ShareProphet’s 30 most read articles about Versarien (as it goes bust!)

As we prepare to open the ouzo in Greece to celebrate Versarien (VRS) going into administration today having spaffed 60 million quid of other folks cash, it is worth reviewing some of our numerous exposes over the years. Excluding bearcasts here are the top 30 most read (of hundreds)

  1. GOTCHA! Versarien admits shareholders will lose everything, now lets talk about 5 million quid of Tory sleaze (11 August 2025)
Well at least Versarien (VRS) gave disgraced founder Neill Ricketts one last payout a couple of weeks ago. For shareholders, as long predicted by myself, today comes a warning that the shares are going to 0p and the company int administration. Given the way Rcketts trolled me and his shareholders discussed having me killed and how to get my wife sacked, you will forgive my lack of sympathy here. Hopefully administration will also expose five million quid of Tory sleaze.

  2. Versarien - back with a request for yet another bail out placing, and the old 15% spoof again (5 March 2025)
Some things like death and taxes are unavoidable certainties and you can add Versarien (VRS) placings to that list.

  3. Versarien: – questions for Chris Leigh and Gregg Watts of BDO about Innovate Loan accounting in last year’s accounts, more schoolboy errrs (28 February 2025)
In yesterday’s announcement Versarien (VRS) indicated that 50% of the interest payments of 7.4% which were due to become payable in February 2025 on the Innovate Loan of £5 million would now become payable commencing August 2026.

  4. Versarien: another nail in the coffin, blame the Government (21 August 2025)
Oh dear, oh dear as disgraced tipster Mike Walters used to say as yet another one of his share tips blew up. Did he ever tip Versarien (VRS)? Cash guzzling, a proven teller of lies, lots of jam tomorrow, it ticked all of his usual boxes. Today there is more bad news and it comes just eight days before the deadline for anyone daft enough to want to bid for any of its assets including Neill Ricketts collection of Gloucester Rugby club signed jockstraps and the equally worthless shares in Gnanomat.

  5. BREAKING: Versarien: the sale particulars, an RNS needed on 23 and also 30 August (13 August 2025)
A contact has been emailed about an offer to buy “the business and assets/shares of a globally recognized company.” Well that is one way of describing the insolvent dog Versarien (VRS). You will note the timeline indicated. And that suggests that Versarien, if it gives a FF about AIM Rules anymore, should be updating us al on 23rd and 30th August. By the latter date it will know if any indicative offers are in and if they will come anywhere close to paying off creditors.

  6. Versarien: how on earth was BDO not negligent in this £55 million scandal? (12 August 2025)
Versarien (VRS) continues to try and sell Total Carbide having failed to get an offer for more than a year, its PLC assets and its shares in Spanish joke operation Gnanomat but warns that the proceeds, if any, will not cover creditors in full, i.e. will be less than six million quid. I doubt they will come anywhere close. And that raises massive questions for auditor BDO, indeed for the whole AIM Casino ecosystem as this now a £55 million scandal.
I flagged up each time Versarien (VRS) has served up annual results that BDO had shown insufficient professional scepticism with regard to the carrying value of assets.

  7. Versarien shares up 36% today: is that an irrational market or just a rational evil market maker? The dead cat bounce explained. (13 August 2025)
Versarien (VRS) has made it explicitly clear that it is likely to go into administration and that shareholders will lose everything, something that I celebrate! So why are the shares up 36% today, albeit to just 0.015p. This is a classic dead cat bounce and in a market maker system perfectly rational. It often happens as the end approaches.

  8. It is put up or shut up day at Versarien: will we get an RNS at close of play? Or at all? (29 August 2025)
Versarien (VRS) has stated that all its assets from its shares in worthless Spanish cash guzzler Gnanomat to its loss making UK operations and the signed collection of Gloucester Rugby Club used jockstraps are up for sale. And as I revealed HERE the deadline for indicative offers WITH PROOF OF FUNDING is 5 PM today.

  9. Versarien: The Chinese are officially out! The Fat Lady can start to warm up. (29 August 2025)
Versarien (VRS) has more bad news for the morons left on its shareholder list. Oh goody goody!

  10. One last letter to AIM Regulation re Versarien – suspend now (3 September 2025)
The Oxymorons at AIM Regulation have disgraced themselves over more than a decade regarding Versarien (VRS), ignoring repeated warnings from myself, red flags, obvious wrongdoing and so allowing private investors to chuck good money after bad. This could, and should, have been stopped years ago. Do not say I did not warn anybody! But the Oxymorons have one last chance to partially redeem themselves by suspending the collapsing shares and forcing an RNS NOW.

  11. EXPOSE: Versarien hid material bad news before last placing, is anyone at AIM Regulation awake? (18 June 2025)
To stave off bankruptcy by a few months Versarien (VRS) raised £425,000 at 0.275p on May 14th. But at the time it was sitting on adverse material news and in not disclosing that ahead of the placing (or in fact since) surely that is a breach of AIM Rule 10 if not outright fraud?

  12. BREAKING: Versarien: it gets far worse, it deceived us with its annual results & report, surely AIM Regulation must act! (19 June 2025)
Yesterday I revealed HERE how Versarien (VRS) breached AIM Ryle 10 and committed fraud by not disclosing that what it deemed a “pivotal” customer had gone tits up before doing a placing. AIM Regulation tells me says that it is now considering its position but I am afraid that it is far worse than even I thought. With a hat tip to Dr Sour Kraut…

  13. Versarien – surely an RNS needed, a timeline reminder (9 September 2025)
Versarien (VRS) has already warned that if it gets bids for its assets the proceeds are almost certain not to cover creditors so shareholders will get nothing when the company goes into administration. I simply do not understand why the clowns at AIM Regulation have not already suspended the shares pending clarification. But surely it should be issuing an RNS. A reminder of the timetable it imposed on anyone who had registered an interest in those assets:

  14. Versarien - is the CEO a total spiv and is he dumping shares? (30 January 2018)
On 7 December 2017 Versarien (VRS) announced that its CEO Neil Rickets had exercised 250,000 options at 12.25p - options that still have 5 years left to run. On 5 January the company casually announced that he had sold the shares on 4 January at 61.5p. Hang on Neil mate...

  15. Bulletin Board Moron of the Week Contest – Versarien edition (22 June 2019)
It seems as if Versarien (VRS) owning morons take particularly badly to exposes on how senior execs may be fraudsters and are certainly liars and respond with abuse for the messengers. And thus in honour of these prize poltroons Bulletin Board Moron of the Week is back. Simply post the most moronic comment found on twitter or the LSE, ADVFN or iii asylums in the comments section below. It does not have to be about Versarien but moronic deadwood press Neil Woodford articles by Ali Hussein or Jeff Presstrip are not eligible. The deadline for entries is midnight Saturday and the winner will receive a mythical photo of Julie Meyer filling in a tax return.

  16. BREAKING: Neill Ricketts & Versarien – private chatroom with shareholders & rampers exposed (8 January 2020)
Last year I forced Versarien (VRS) to issue a clarifying RNS after Neill Ricketts made unverified and it seems untrue claims on twitter. Nomad Bobbie Hilliam at Canaccord read Ricketts the riot act and his twitter outpourings have been greatly diminished. But I can reveal that he has a new conduit on a private chat group on Discord. I doubt his Nomad or AIM Regulation are aware of it but thanks to Winnileaks they will be soon and will be horrified as I have a series of screenshots to share.

  17. Liar, and alleged fraudster, Patrick Abbott of Versarien - exposed with two new court documents (19 June 2019)
Last week I revealed that the man who was to take Versarien (VRS) forward in the USA, Patrick Abbott faced two new charges of fraud which could see him going to jail for 20 years and that his lawyer had quit. Abbott, a man whose skills will be "invaluable" to Versarien according to boss Neil Ricketts, responded on twitter saying this was fake news from TW. Oh dear. The indictments are below, Patrick you are a liar.

  18. Winnileaks expose (perhaps): Versarien – is Neil Ricketts taking the piss with share sale and BIGT investment (16 April 2019)
In September 2018, Versarien (VRS) raised £5.3 million at 145p.  Ramptastic CEO Neill Ricketts stated that he wanted to take part, to buy shares at 145p but could not do so as he was sitting on inside information. Yesterday, having exercised options at 29p, he flogged 307,970 shares at 136.1p netting him a cool £340,000. But that is not the thing that, perhaps, really stinks.

  19. Update on Versarien and its shocking new American Appointment (2 April 2019)
Since I last wrote about Versarien (VRS) in November last year the stock had fallen around 20% until yesterday when it ripped 20p on news that it had completed the US-based Graphene Council’s “Verified graphene producer” programme. This gives it a market cap of £187 million. That is a lot of hope value for an enterprise that seems to do little more than announce vague MOUs with various named, and more often unnamed, entities...

  20. Versarien - another Primary Bid after hours Friday opportunity - sign up now, Sunday 5 PM deadline (4 March 2017)
This is becoming a regular Friday feature - an after hours offer from Primary Bid for increasingly credible placings. The last one was Ascent at 1.85p - its shares, 3 weeks later, are 2.375p which is great news for our readers who took part. Next up is Versarien (VRS) which is raising £1 million at 15p.

  21. Is Neil Rickets of Versarien a spiv? NO! is he selling more shares? Maybe? Are some of his shareholders morons? YES! (31 January 2018)
Yesterday I posted a series of questions for Neil Rickets of Versarien (VRS), who I have always described as a nice guy even if I think the valuation of his company is crackers. To his credit he has come back ( from China) with full answers but so too has one of his shareholders a  Mr A. Moron.

  22. Versarien: the Mad Hun writes again, 7 days away from VD day, apparently I don’t understand accounts (8 May 2025)
That is VD for Versarien (VRS) Doom day.

  23. Bulletin Board Moron of the week contest - can anyone trump this Versarien owning loon? (1 March 2020)
The Versarien (VRS) owning lunatic from the ADVFN Asylum cited below really does take paranoia to a new level. "infamy, infamy, they have all got it in for me". The only suerprise is that he does not mention the Jews or Mossad in his deranged post below. Anyhow can you find something even crazier on the ADVFN, iii or LSE asylums or on twitter before midnight on Sunday. If so, post it in the comments section below. But you have to beat the moronic post below:

  24. BOMBSHELL: Versarien is its US oil graphene order a total spoof? A hard look at the maths – what it won’t tell you (29 June 2019)
Yesterday, shares in Versarien (VRS) raced ahead by 10% as it announced an order with an (un-named, natch) US oil and has explorer for 12 kg of its high purity graphene nano platelets (GNP-HP) integrated into a polymer masterbatch by Neill Rickett’s great British Company. But the RNS did not spell out the value. And doing his, almost, weekly ramp on Justin the Clown’s promotional limp dick podcast he again refused to say. So here is some hard maths: I suggest this order may be a spoof.

  25. BREAKING: Versarien Patrick Abbott update – oh dear he now faces up to 20 years in jail, lawyer quits (15 June 2019)
Oh dear, oh Dear. You may remember how on March 21, Versarien (VRS) announced with great fanfate that it had appointed Patrick Abbott to spearhead its US expansion. Lucian Miers then pointed out that Mr Abbott faced a few legal problems. And so on April 4 Versarien stated:

  26. Bulletin Board Moron of the week contest: In honour of Neill Ricketts (12 January 2020)
Just for one week, the contest is being brought back at the request of reader Juicin. The rules are slighty changed in honour of Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS). What we are looking for is the most moroniic comment on shares on the LSE, iii or ADVFN Asylums or twitter. But this week you can also add in comments on the private Discord chat room where Ricketts tells lies to investors without his Nomad, hapless Quindell loving Bobbie Hilliam at Canaccord, knowing anything about it! The deadline for entry is midnight on Sunday 12 January ( my birthday). Entries in the comments section below.

  27. One week from bankruptcy, Versarien hands its remaining cash to disgraced ex boss Neill Ricketts who has already trousered millions (23 July 2025)
What are the cretins who run Versarien (VRS) thinking of, looking after their old buddy Neill Ricketts before trying to save the company. This stinks!

  28. A Letter to Bobbie Hilliam at Versarien’s Nomad Canaccord (16 June 2019)
In light of Saturday’s bombshell revelation HERE I have written to the Nomad of Versarien (VRS) suggesting a statement is needed pronto. The letter is below.

  29. Bulletin Board Moron of the Week Contest – can you trump this one from Versarien owning moron mavfav (9 February 2020)
Okay, I want to make Juicin happy so let us have another Bulletin Board Moron of the week contest. The deadline is midnight on Sunday 9th February and all you have to do is find another comment from twitter or the ADFVN, iii or LSE Asylums which is more moronic than this one from mavfav on the ADVFN asylum, Versarien (VRS) thread. Entries in the comments section below

  30. Patrick Abbott (ex Versarien) in unhinged twitter meltdown against Tom Winnifrith - what sort of company would employ this nutter? (1 July 2019)
Patrick Abbott clearly does not like the fact that I reveealed and published the fraud charges against him that could see him to a 20 year stretch and which AIM uber-ramp Versarien (VRS)  finally responded to by, eventually bowing to my pressure, and parting company with him last week. Last night he went into a twitter meltdown as you can see below. I ask you what sort of company employs a nutter like this in the first place?
