Alcohol drinks brands company Distil plc (DIS) has issued a “Notice of AGM; Proposed Capital Reorganisation”-titled announcement. It states that the proposed capital reorganisation is “in order to enable the company to issue new ordinary shares at an issue price which exceeds their nominal value, while maintaining the same number of ordinary shares in issue”, so what about a current more than 8% lower share price response to 0.055p?

Most recently writing on company describing itself as “owner of premium drinks brands including RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, and Blavod Black Vodka” Distil plc (DIS), in January with the shares at 0.1075p I concluded on its “thrilled” with ‘Opening of Blackwoods Brand Home’ to be highly cautious of attempted ramptastic here and still avoid/sell. The shares most recently closed at 0.09p and now a “Trading Update” and what of the shares currently in response down to 0.05p!?

Hmmm – so the announcement at this stage attempted ramptastic?
Most recently on alcohol drinks brands company Distil (DIS), last month with the shares falling to 0.125p I concluded I suggest caveat emptor on such PR announcements as its latest and to still avoid/sell. The shares most recently closed at 0.1325p but what about they currently down to 0.114p on the back of a “Trading Update”?

So what about a share price still of 0.12p, comparing to above 0.25p as recently as last month?
Most recently writing on alcohol drinks brands company Distil plc (DIS), in June with the shares at 0.25p I cautioned re. further funding to be needed and concluded, still awaiting last year’s results, natch still caveat emptor and avoid/sell. With that and the shares having closed 9th September at 0.26p but having been falling every day since to most recently close at 0.175p, quelle surprise there’s now a placing announcement.
Alcohol drinks brands company Distil plc (DIS) states that it “is pleased to announce” the formal opening of Ardgowan Distillery and its first casks having been filled, with the “partnership with Ardgowan remains of the upmost importance to the business”. What does it mean from a current 0.25p Distil share price, £3.6 million market cap?
Albeit even a year ago its shares having been 0.475p, as shares in alcohol drinks brands company Distil plc (DIS) rose towards 0.10p in April I noted ‘“U.S. distribution partnership” announcement. Ramptastic!’. The shares most recently closed at 0.32p but what about today a “Holding(s) in Company” announcement and the shares currently down to 0.25p?

Most recently writing on alcohol drinks brands company Distil (DIS), in January with the shares down to 0.10p I concluded still a trading and financial concerns avoid/sell. Alcohol drinks brands company Distil (DIS) states that it “is pleased to announce an extension of its partnership with Global Brands Ltd to include total UK trade… Utilising its extensive sales network, and proprietary logistics and warehouse capabilities, the extension of this partnership offers the opportunity to work closely with a longstanding partner to accelerate brand growth”. So what of a share price currently a further more than 11% lower to 0.10p. Anything to do with also a “Trading Update”, which it doesn’t state it is pleased to announce?…
Writing on alcohol drinks brands company Distil (DIS) in September I wrote ‘discounted equity raise to “provide working capital”. Er, it means to keep the lights on for a bit longer?’. What of now the results for the company’s half-year ended 30th September 2024?
Earlier this month I warned on Distil plc (DIS) ‘“celebrates the first distillation at Ardgowan Distillery”. Er, what about that immediate short-term funding need though?!’ and ‘“Ardgowan - 2nd Annual Open Day”, more RNS Reach attempted ramptastic as there’s an immediate short-term funding need?’. Now this alcohol drinks brands company states that it “is pleased to announce it has conditionally raised £0.65 million (before expenses) through a placing and subscription”, so why are the shares currently further slumping to 0.15p?
Distil plc (DIS) states that it “is pleased to note” a second annual Open Day at the distillery site in Inverkip was held on 7th September “with the Distil team in attendance for visitors to preview the Blackwoods Brand Home and launch Blackwoods First Drop. The site welcomed thousands of visitors on the day from the local area and further afield, including USA, Austria, Sweden, Australia, and New Zealand”. Er, what of a slumped Distil share price this year though, to still 0.225p?
A “First distillation at Ardgowan Distillery”-titled announcement from Distil plc (DIS) is headlined “Distil celebrates the first distillation at Ardgowan Distillery with limited-edition release, Blackwoods First Drop”. Is it really ‘celebration’ time though, with the shares down from 0.6p as recently as May to a current 0.225p?
We can argue at great length about the career of Graham Colley at ITM Power (ITM). To his supporters such as comrade Stacey he was a green visionary who created a company once worth billions. To his critics, er me, he surfed the green wave created by the Doom Goblin Greta and the cultists but was given the order of the boot as the cash ran out. But we can agree that he is a businessman.
