Notes from Underground – Most read articles for the week ending August 9

The most read, non-Tom, article last week was Auction Technology Group – emphasises “highly strategic addition” acquisition. Er, what about the existing business profit warning though?… by Steve Moore at number 3, or number 8 including Bearcasts.

  1. Skinbiotherapeutics: A reader contacts AIM Regulation and the FCA re inaccurate forecasts
I do not disagree with a word in this email. I have also made my views clear to the regulators. It is abundantly clear that forecasts out there are wrong and that the company and ts house broker knows all about it and is happy to see a false market continue. The reader writes:

  2. The 40 professions most at risk from AI and the 10 safest places for your kids to work according to Microsoft
The list below of the 40 most at risk professions makes grim reading for this family and inded any middle class familiy sending their kids to University. Top of the list is what my eldest, Olaf, wanted to do but the translation industry has already been decimated by AI. But it gets worse...

  3. Auction Technology Group – emphasises “highly strategic addition” acquisition. Er, what about the existing business profit warning though?…
Auction Technology Group (ATG) has issued an “Acquisition”-titled announcement headlined “Acquisition of Chairish LLC to further strengthen our leadership position in the online arts & antiques market” and detailing that is paying the $85 million price in cash, so what about a current approaching 20% lower share price response to below 390p?

  4. WINNILEAKS EXPOSÉ: Has nobody told Julie ”Lingerie on Expenses” Meyer (not MBE) the bad news?
Oh dear, Oh dear. It sees that either the bad news has not reached Julie Meyer NOT MBE yet or someone is in denial. A co-conspirator still on her non GDPR complain spam list has received an email this morning as you can see below.

  5. The View From The Montana Log-Cabin As Gold Surges Late Week, Stocks Don’t Follow
Gold closed the week at $3,362 – up a little bit on last week’s $3,336 but that does not tell the story. As per the previous week, the price of Gold swung wildly: this time to the downside before surging on Friday to post a small overall gain. But as can be seen on the chart below of the yellow stuff against its miners, the ETFs GDX (majors), GDXJ (juniors) and GOEX (explorers), the miners didn’t really back up Gold’s recovery.

  6. Nicola Horlick – Money & Co: is her new flagship technically insolvent? Accounting howler missed by the FCA or FOUR years!
I flagged up earlier how the appointment of Bernie Madoff superfan Nicola Horlick was yet another red flag at 9x overvalued Hamak Gold (HAMA).
That was met with the usual twitter abuse from folks, who have not read my articles, insisting that she really is “superwoman” as she likes to brand herself. So, I have been forced into a bit of digging…

  7. EXPOSÉ: Satsuma Technology new CFO: out of the frying pan into the fire
Today Satsuma (formerly TAO Alpha) (SATS) has announced a Board change which some folk seem to think is good news. Think again. Satsuma states:

  8. Asking the FCA to investigate Nicola Horlick's Money & Co
I am nothing if not a good citizen and this morning I had a long chat with a nice young man called Dan at the FCA. I am not sure he entirely gripped the accounting points that I was explaining in as simlpe terms as I could manage and so it was agreed that I should report Nicola Horlick's Denmark Square Limited, trading as Money & Co and authorised by the FCA, in writing. I have done just that, requesting a formal enquiry. I am now also in discussions with my pals at the FRC as to whether Denmark's misleading accounts come under its remit, I fear not but its worth checking it out. My letter to the FCA follows:

  9. BREAKING: Steve O'Hara's son Tom job title at Optibotix revealed: this really does beg questions!
Yesterday I told you about how Optibiotix (OPTI) CEO Steve O'Hara angrily refused to say what his son Tom did at Optibiotix (OPTI).
He might do a great job but when you have a kid on the payroll and also fund his MBA you need to be transparent. Now I know what Tom does and I am afraid that begs real questions of his Daddy.

  10. Bitcoin in Treasury Nonsense: Nicola Horlick, you cannot be serious?
Just when I thought that every bad penny of self important egomaniac in town had jumped on the bandwagon there is another blast from the past to dumbfound we cynics of the bitcoin in treasury madness. The antics of Nicola Horlick and her equally ghastly ex husband Timmy have been well documented on this website, the highlight being when she charged fat due diligence fees at her Bramdean outfit to invest millions of pounds of client money in Bernie Madoff ponzi funds. Some due diligence Nicola.

The most-listened-to Bearcasts this week were:

    1. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the Optibiotix AGM, it was brutal and bad tempered and Neil Davidson defamed me
I sart with my train journey with fat, foul mouthed Freddy and his obese family. I despair for Britain. Then I attended the Optibiotix (OPTI) AGM wearing my pro Israel T-shirt which is jolly brave given the mood music here in Londonistan. The AGM was bad tempered with Ed from Islington and myself plus 9 other shareholders giving the board everything it deserved. e will get the poll results later. I recount everything that happened, it was a true blood sport.

    2. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 1: The Optibiotix AGM Votes and lies dissected: Neil Davidson must go NOW
The AGM votes are finally in and are amazing. Steve O'Hara seems determined to ignore QCA guidelines which he has signed up to in response. I then dissect lies we were told by CFO David Blain referencing Tern HERE and the HMRC HERE. then it is onto Chairman Neil Davidson and why his explanation of the 10 October 2024 fake release just cannot be true. The cover up is worse than the crime. Nomad Liam Murray needs to speak to Probiotix (PBX), investigate and then force Davidson to go. Finally I explain why I am not selling.

    3. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 1 - buying more shares today but in what and why? The cheapest gold share in London!
My V22 cash has arrived. Norra lot but I was onto my stockbroker, the dinosaur, like a flash to reinvest it. I had said it would go into BP (BP) but BP's shares have already gone up a lot. I discuss BP and then where I put the cash instead. It is what could be the cheapest gold stock in London.

    4. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 2: Gaslighting from Rachel from Customer Services as base rates cuts and 2 bitcoin in treasury red flags
I start with our most useless chancellor since Gordon Brown and today's base rate cut. Then I give you two email addresses you may care to use if you are an Optibiotix (OPTI) shareholder before I look at news from ECR Minerals (ECR) and Satsuma (SATS).

    5. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: It is Misogyny Day here as the Sheep Shaggers swarm to Wrexham
I joke, of course, about the sexism and about the fellow countrypeople of three of my kids. I cover Hamak (HAMA), Bluebird Mining Ventures (BMV) and Georgina Energy (GEX).

    6. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 2: the gluttony and sex drive of Lucian Miers
The reference to my old friend is to actually kicking tyres, doing real research. In the podcast I cover Optibiotix (OPTI), Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI), Cake Box (CBOX), Futura Medical (FUM) and Petra Diamonds (PDL)

    7. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: still on the warpath against THREE disgraced OBE/MBE/CBE troughers
I start wih the next steps against Julie Meyer, Neil Woodford and Dave Richards of Wandisco infamy. Am I allowed to feel a bit smug today? I discuss the failings and there are many of them of the FCA as expsed by the Woodford affair. I discuss Domino's Pizza (DOM), Satsuma (SATS) and Georgina Energy (GEX) which looks like its toast. Tomorrow is Opt
ibiotix (OPTI) battle day and my train tickets to London have just been booked.

    8. Tom Winnifrth Bearcast: More thoughts on Julie Meyer not MBE, The PR Genius Steffi affair and Wednesday's trip to London
I talk about a tiring day of domestic chores at the Welsh hovel, the PR Genius Steffi scandal and why the placing should be reversed, Julie Meyer and why the MSM failed us all and Wednesday's trip to London to cal out Lyin' Steve O'Hara and the Optibiotx (OPTI) board

    9. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: How do the regulators allow Dave Richards MBE to run a public lavatory let alone a public company
I have written to the Honours Forfeiture Committee about Zak Mir's chum earlier today. But the real question is for AQSE Regulation: how on earth do you allow this man to run a listed company?
