Breaking news and expert analysis on fast-moving AIM and LSE listed shares

On Monday, I had a discussion with Mosman Oil & Gas’ (MSMN) technical director Andy Carroll. I wanted to find out more about Mosman and the gaps I reported last week in its reporting of two oil “discoveries” in its Cross Roads-1 exploration well. To be honest, I don’t think Mr Carroll expected the conversation we had. Like most executives on AIM, he is probably more used to the anodyne questioning of some other websites we could mention - “so then Mr Carroll on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the best, how would you rate your project? 9, 10 or 11?”

WHY ARE YOU SHARE MUPPETS SO HOOKED ON DRIVING MSMN DOWN AND BADMOUTHING THIS STOCK, ON AND ON FOR DAYS YOU HAVE DONE THIS, YOU HAVE GONE OUTSIDE OF YOUR REGULATORS WHICH HAS BEEN INFORMED TO AUTHORITIES. My guess is what they have found is a little bit of oily water or a little bit of very watery oil .
It sounds just like announcements from Bill “walmart” Keller of NEW.

Dont tell me , let me quess …….. now lets see . :- they have a working hydrocarbon system , they have a trap , they have a seal ,
but no quantity of hydrocarbons because they have “migrated “ because the sealy bit is…….err….. not very sealy . So whats left is ……err , well umm ,…………….. err,…………. feck all ?

Ooooooh er missus. You seem a bit annoyed. Try upping the medication.
We have stated the facts. Mosman has not. We would be delighted to discuss the matter in full with the regulators. I cannot imagine that Mosman would enjoy the experience quite as much.
Can you cite one factual errr in the pieces? er …no.
Regulators are not there to stop legitimate factually accurate comment just because a BB Moron does not like articles appearing that do not ramp POS stocks he owns.

@whatever – As Tom said, I’ve reported facts. This isn’t about deramping, it’s about trying to find out the truth.
No matter what I or anybody else writes Mosman’s appraisal results will be what determines the future of the share price.

Is there another scenerio, given that MSMN have confirmed they are looking at other expansion opportunities? i.e. they’ve found what their looking for but will hold off reporting this in full to help maximize the opportunity in NZ?

Interesting how people always moan about the less positive pieces on MSMN and never mention that I tipped it as a buy at 10p shortly before it hit 50p-plus… Some seem very selective in the articles that they don’t like!

@Sean F – realistically there is no chance of that. I have never heard of an oil company on AIM, which has actually discovered a commercial quantity of the black stuff, then holding back on the news.
It just wouldn’t make any sense to do this, not to mention it would violate the price sensitive disclosure rules.
