Hello Share Nudgers: Many, many years ago I was persuaded by a good friend to invest in Creightons (CRL). You probably haven't heard of them – they're so small and usually moribund. They have a market cap of just £2m. They make soaps, fragrances and toiletries, such as things you put in cars to make them smell a bit better.

Creightons are off to a good start in the current first half as they booked a £375,000 profit from selling their part interest in the trademark of a product they manufacture.
Actually market value is around £3m with net assets of £5m.Interestingly Creightons is quoted on the main market not AIM.
Any takeover is in the gift of the present Chairman who is effective controlling shareholder & who separately owns the freehold of Creightons factory.
I have owned shares for a few years but fortunately paying around 2p average. They are good value still but difficult to trade due to spread.

Talk about lowering the tone! Not buying any more – I’ve been waiting ten years for the recovery, Riders.

Thanks Jerrers. The more I see about this company, the more I like it. It’s just the fact that they lost so much of my money about six years ago, that leaves me still a bit doubtful. Maybe somebody will back into them to secure a full listing on the cheap.
