Harriet Denys of the Telegraph has run a piece today HERE on Ben Edelman and blinkx which is so bad that it begs the question: did she print it because she will print anything blinkc PR man Ed Bridges of FTI Consulting tells her to do or just because she is thick as two short planks? I really do not know.

If Ben was wrong, they wouldn’t be getting so worked up about it. Your other bear targets rarely carry on like this.

If you look at her article’s comments you’ll see Mr Ben Edelman has commented in person, claiming dear Harriet hasn’t even followed standard journalist practice by contacting him before writing the article.
That’s a journalistic cardinal sin, surely?

Au contraire, play the man not the ball, threaten legals, make vague comments about FCA is looking, get Harriet to print crap smearing the bears – this is 100% standard PR spin. Makes me more sure than before that Benny E is right.
Libero. Indeed that is correct. For instance I did contact Harriet Denys before going to print.

Hmmm – who is that in the photo on that Telegraph article? Don’t look much like Ben E from where I sit!

tom,
“if nothing is found amiss”.
Therefore BE is incentivised to find something, No?

Read her article & listen to transcript again.
a) his standard terms ( what he said) vs “the firms incentivised him” what she said
There is a very real difference in meaning as I am sure you – if not HD – appreciate.
b) Of course Ben wants to find something but are you or anyone else saying he makes things up to earn a few quid more? That is not long term sustainable for him and in the case on blnx it is now clear that he did not make anything up he found damning evidence of breaches of the law. And the proof of that was the “firework in his speech” which HD just ignores. Which is truly crap journalism.
