Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.
Over the last six months the share price charts for Tower Resources (TRP) and Rockhopper (RKH) couldn’t be more different. Rockhopper is down about 45%, while Tower has gained over 600%, on an intraday basis. Over the next two articles I’ll look at the relative fortunes of these two companies and explain why one could be a buy and the other a sell.

Again, more research upfront please before writing these articles.
You fail to mention the $ value a commercial grade oil strike will bring to the company, nor the high COS attributed to this drill compared to industry averages. In addition there is no mention of broker estimates for this share if a discovery is made. Current estimates are between 70p and 511p.
Please do get your hat ready to eat if they strike oil, as as you can be sure that the share price will not stay in the sixes!
Everyone knows a duster will put this share down but for any who has thoroughly researched the company, the BOD and the pre drill survey results knows that the upside to this opportunity is immense.

@aheadoftheherd 1) you can never rely on CoS estimates 2) you can never rely on broker estimates
For me, the acid test will come when we find out if TRP has secured that farm-in or not. I’m not saying they won’t, but it is an increasingly close run thing.
As for your upper estimate of 511p, that is just absurd. So no, I didn’t mention that.
Perhaps Repsol will strike it big, but given this is only the 7th well drilled here, the odds are heavily stacked against success. Given also that TRP currently (at absolute best) only has the resources to participate in one well, this is one hell of a gamble.
Please feel free to prove me wrong and hang onto your stock until TD, but if I were in profit, I’d take a large chunk off the table pre-spud and look to place it elsewhere.
