Today we finally have an update on the state of play at US Oil & Gas (USOP) – possibly the worst stock ever to gain a public markets listing. Not by choice does US come clean but eventually it had to serve up (predictably dire and predictably, as yet, unaudited) results for the year to September 30th 2013.

I’m guessing that you are not a major fan then! Actually, I’m not sure that USOP is the worst company to be listed. AIM is littered with similarly inept companies and, despite the level of sugar coated news releases and spin, I am always surprised about the sheer level of hate directed at USOP in particular. I think there is something odd about the Oil & Gas sector that it seems to attract these kind of judgments.
USOP was always a binary play and it was certainly not for the faint hearted!
Nevada is interesting though. The geology should be ripe for oil but exploration and production in the area has been disappointing to say the least. One day, perhaps, someone will crack the code consistently but I tend to agree with the author that it is unlikely to be USOP.

I suspect that the level of “hate” is directed more at the USOP BB morons who have hunted, harassed and abused anyone who dared to voice a contrarian view. What goes around comes around.
They now seem to believe that “jam tomorrow” is nailed on — which makes them either inexperienced in dissecting and interpreting heavily spun RNS’s; or determined to mislead any novice who is misguided enough to dally there.
For the record, the RNS’s contain at least 40 instances of weasel words such as “potential”, “indicate”, “appear”, “believe”, “may”. Take them away and there’s very little left.
Presumably the most significant statement in either RNS is that “the audited results are awaiting second partner signoff by the auditors”. Too much information – or a signal to shareholders that the final results will include some nasty shocks along the lines that “shares may have little or no value”?
And I noticed that there was no reference to the company’s trumpeted court case against alleged bulletin board subterfuge. I was hoping to see these villains brought to account.

Its quite hilarious to watch the idiots on the usop BB read into this RNS exactly what BM intended them to.
He’s a clever boy. Gives them just enough to stay legal while bullshitting out of his posterior.
They swallow it down like cheap hookers in Brighton.
They deserve what they get really.

While I am prepared to accept that USOP is one of may woeful listed companies where it wins prizes is just the sheer volume of lies it has pumped out and how much its stock has been ramped by management and BB morons. It is one of many POS listed companies, I just think it was the most overvalued of this legion.

The interesting thing re audited accounts is that under GXG Main Market listing rules(Rule 12.1) USOP was required to publish audied accounts not later than 1st March.
Simon Keiro -Watson of GXG has advised me that he is aware of this non compliance which should result in suspension;however I assume GXG rules are as useless as some of the companies on its market.

Rules are for “little people” – GXG like AIM is crony capitalism, the transfer of wealth from the many to the few and the only rule that matters is that the few get rich and the many get screwed.
