This ghastly creature keeps on giving us entertainment every day. As we know with the self-proclaimed City superwoman it is NEVER her fault when things go tits up. If she blows 9% of her client’s cash by backing Ponzi king Bernie Madoff anyone who says it is her fault is just a beastly male chauvinist pig. Nothing is Nicola’s fault. That brings us to her (now failed) restaurant, Georgina’s.

I normally agree with mostly everything you write Tom and you have paid me some compliments in the past but you overstepped the line with reference to the death of her daughter in any way. I cannot imagine losing a child and no matter what this woman has done, that was a really cheap shot. There’s enough ammo to use on her anyway without that!

Many folks lose a child. They grieve in different ways. I think private grief is perhaps the most dignified way.

What I object to with Horlick is the way she uses that personal loss for commercial gain. That I find distasteful. And as such is fair comment.

Sat through a presentation on Georgina’s at an IW Capital pitching event a couple of years ago. Struck me as a huge climbdown from a multi-billion asset manager to a glorified cafe. She was also pushing yet another (yawn) financial site for the masses – Bees and Honey it was to be called. Think it never really got off the ground – hope the investors got something back. They’ve also promoted a few film-related ventures of hers – she’s multi-talented!
