Today it is JP Morgan getting it in the neck with a $1.7 billion fine for not blowing the whistle on Ponzi scheme operator Bernie Madoff. Ahead of the Madoff collapse JP Morgan got most of its own capital out of Madoff funds. Others were not so prescient. Step forward the fund manager dubbed (by her own PR machine) superwoman – Nicola Horlick.

I hate it when women play the gender card ……………. I give up women ……… your superior. Gender, Gender,Gender…. Fed up of it. A person can be male of female. capabilities, or lack there of are not, and should not be attributed to gender. The comment is moronic around persecution for being a woman. If nothing else people move away from constructive critique of women as they are worried about being demonized, especially with all this quota tosh.
She messed up, nothing to do with being a woman a lot to do with personal choice and perception of risk.

1. I agree that “Superwoman” is self styled by her and her PR machine, because, well I can’t say much more, but I know! She actually hires PR agencies to handle her own personal PR, unlike most fund managers who appear in the press because journalists want to discuss their work. She has that, and additionally purposely tries to get as much as possible for herself to create this superwoman bollocks. Being a woman is her “angle” to hijack any news issue. Most journalists, will enable this because, well, they need a story. It’s easier to work with recognised “experts”, even if they know she’s full of shit.
Sad thing is she is actually intelligent and successful. It’s just that, that’s not enough for her. She wants to be “Superwoman of the City”. No doubt sexism exists and racism too in the city. Horlick, in formulating this self-serving shit is trampling on other women’s legitimate concerns for her own gain. Laura is not my real name.
