Paul Scott is very much an independent thinker – he is his own man. No doubt some Bulletin Board Morons reckon that anyone who is shorting Globo (GBO) is all part of some wicked plot involving the usual suspects: Cawkwell, Miers, Earl, Winnifrith, the late Saddam Hussein, etc. Au contraire, it is just that any sentient being knows this is going down.

Clueless
This is all total garbage…
1) It may be based in Greece but most end users are London and US based. Globo got rid of the legacy greek mobile phone company a number of years ago.
2)Receivables are reducing and not abnormally accounted for, you really need to do more research
3)Growing business expanding and setting up new offices in new countries which is capital intensive, operating margins are good removing exceptional items. Again misreading of the financials
4)See above, fund raising to expand since the AIM market is for junior companies looking to grow this is specifically what the market is for… clown
5) No a very high margin activity which is incredibly scaleable and margins should improve as business grows
6) Allowed under IFRS to capitalise development but not research costs. Not sure you are raising any point at all just showing that you don’t know anything
7) Have you filed a Greek tax return before? They are carrying forward prior year losses
8)Actually the CEO just bought some shares at 65p and have done numerous times. The only sale was to institutions to increase the free float
9) I agree slightly dodgy transaction but will have no impact on the business going forward
10) You don’t understand IFRS. You cannot offset creditors and debtors unless they are one in the same. If you owe A and A owes you , then you may offset if you owe B and C owes you, you cannot offset. As those meerkats say “simples”. Another massive indication of you not really having a clue.
11) Well you say that but they have an excellent sales team and my company use their software (big UK based company)
12) no professional company is going to compromise their data by using a “free app” don’t be stupid.
13) All companies bar RSA do this, and I don’t believe that Globo do this in the way you suggest.
14) FSMA 2000 suggests that you are partaking in Market Abuse via Dissemination and I strongly hope that all Globo shareholders report you to the FCA.

If I am lucky enough to see 20 dream shares in my Investing Lifetime, Globo is one of them. As a follower from early 2009, I have lived, ate and breathed this company on a daily basis. I recognised GBO was unappreciated…….Greece was a ‘dirty’ word, which is EXACTLY why I invested. GBO has gathered pace and has never disappointed. The chart up until mid October speaks for itself. More recently a trendy ‘bear raid’ has resulted on GBO’s share price falling. Fear and Greed. GBO’s success and SP performance has been an ‘easy’ target. Nonetheless the intelligent move has been to buy more stock. GBO’s SP will again follow its companies success. Is it ‘right’ to chuckle at another’s misfortune? Perhaps not, but it is comforting to know that GBO’s private investors have and will get the last laugh at a very misinformed and ignorant shorting campaign.

I was checking through my back archive and saw that I tipped GBO at 29.5p almost a year ago ( the article is on this site now). The risk reward looked right to me then. I have changed my mind at 60p. Oddly no-one threatened to report me for market abuse when I said buy :)
Only time will tell on GBO. I would suggest that the jury is out. We shall see.

Tom, there is a difference between actively targeting a company by spreading incorrect information and blatant false information and having an opinion one way or the other.
His points on the accounts are laughable even school kids can understanding the matching concept but he can’t.

Clueless,
You are aptly named. Paul is a trained accountant. His points seem totally valid. cash generation cf revenues is dire. How amny other companies do you know that regard being paid by customers in 11 months as a triumph & an improvement?
Paul has spread no falso info & neither has I. as soon as I hear bulls saying “report him to the FC A/FSA fo0r breach of FSMA 2000, I know something is a short. The last company to actually report me was er…Sefton. And we know what happened there.
Everything you say makes me more inclined to be bearish.

How’s the short going? Subsequent to my last post, Globo, it’s team, the share price and it’s investors have all moved forward. Glad to see this is in black and white. We will see £1 by year end. The shorters are getting burned and rightly so.
