It will come as no surprise to readers of ShareProphets that main market listed Goldenport Holdings (GPRT) is to leave the LSE, as announced this morning. Shareholders are set to lose everything just as predicted (see HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE) but amazingly the shares are still trading pro tem. You can still get your bad of crisps….or perhaps just a couple of penny chews, for the shares have collapsed (so far) by 70% today, to 1.5p mid. So there is another 1.5p to go….

I just don’t get this one at all. From reading the company’s statement it seems like they’ve sold off some ships to other outfits which are 100% owned by Goldenport and this has put nine million dollars into their bank account! Eh? How does that work then?
Surely that means that the companies that are “100% owned by Goldenport” are now a touch lighter by around nine million dollars? So what’s happened?
Does it mean that there are, say, Goldenport shareholders, who are thinking “Phew, that’s given us a lifeline” and that there are separate shareholders in the other companies who are thinking “Thanks a million, Goldenport_well, nine million in fact!”
Nope, I just don’t get how that one’s working at all.
