During every period of market nerves there are calls by the crooks and the fools to ban short selling. But does this go far enough. Back in 2009 after the last global financial crisis (which Gordon Brown managed to solve) Benjamin Dover took this matter to its logical conclusion and explained to the SEC why the answer was to ban share selling altogether. What a genius...Ben writes:

It is an excellent satire but sadly there are a big chunk of people who think like that, who believe that endless growth in value of all stocks is a good thing. This petition that DL is promoting is actually the second one in the last few days, there is another with OVER 3000!!!! signatures. wow. sure that will rock parliament to the core.
Its pretty sad that DL is pandering to the illiterate windowlickers with this stuff, even for him. he keeps claiming that his stocks are down because they are shorted but he knows this is a lie. they are down because people don’t want to buy them for more than that.
Today on twitter he even said ‘I see some tosser has sold CUBA down yesterday. Trading well below cash backing.’
Well as he has said before, you cant short on ISDX, so he is now actually blaming people selling the shares. he is actually subscribing, in public, to the logic in that satire. unreal stuff. he suckered people into buying massively overpriced shares in his nonsense company then he blames THEM for trying to escape with some money at a lower price. mind boggling.
All bb’s are awash with people claiming that only evil bastards ever make share prices go down. never look at the root causes. such is life.

Whilst the arrogance of DL is staggering and the contempt he shows for shareholders who bought in at a much higher price because they believed in him and are now cutting their losses is disgusting, it could well be Chris Oil that is the seller and Chris is a tosser so maybe DL is right in this instance.

Drunken I cant fault your reasoning. he is indeed a tosser. one who has been in the last 24 hours threatening TW with violence, so I assume he has lost a lot of money in the last few days to be getting that worked up.
However I would call this victory by technicality!
