88 Energy (88E) has had a tremendous run over the past week or so, but given the level it has now reached I’d definitely be looking to cash in.

Yeah I think your right ……….. a good time too leave …….. I pulled the plug at 2.5 p yesterday . Not the top but good enough . Dont wanna see it bleed away . There is no way its gonna be economic to extract at current prices . Still dont quite trust the RNS these lot chuck out either . It just feels a bit too very well stage managed ………. makes me feel edgy . Best of luck to those who stay tho ……….. could turn out to be a company maker if oil price does the right thing and the Puff is all true and square. One for those with big gonads . Mine are shrinking with age .

Compare and contrast the two statements from the same RNS:-
· “Early Observations on Rock Mechanics and Fraccability are Encouraging: Analogous to Matrix of Conditions Found in Haynesville and Marcellus Shale Plays”
“The level of accuracy between the pre-drill predictions by our Joint Venture partner, Burgundy Xploration, and the actual results from the core evaluation is nothing short of astounding.”
Just saying thats all …………………………………………………..

Wildrides,
It reminded me a bit of the sort of crazy rises that we used to see back in 2010! Too many are focussing on the big numbers, rather than considering in the context of the current economic environment when it comes to shale oil.
It be fair to the company it does look promising – shale isn’t really my thing, but if it is as good as they are saying then it does have potential (but will need oil a fair bit higher than it is now!). Getting up to a market cap of £80 million at this stage though was just crazy and was pricing in a good chunk of the future potential now.
I think DW has played this one quite well given that he was able to raise some funds mid-drill and also with regards to the timing of this drill, plus the forthcoming seismic, in terms of maximising the potential rebates – without those a company of this size would never have been able to drill this licence anyway. Certainly better than when it was TPET anyway!
