Hello Share Trippers. Oh dear! The price of crude oil drops to less than 40 dollars a barrel. That’s really nasty and we can blame OPEC for refusing to cut down on the amber nectar it has for sale.

The problem with oil at the minute is for the first time ever there are viable alternatives to it on the horizon like electric cars. If these take off then we will see reduced demand so the oil rich countries are worried that what they have in the ground could be worthless in 20-30 years if they continue to keep prices high, thus giving alternatives a chance to grow and succeed. Same for shale as well, high prices only fund developments in non-OPEC countries which again reduces OPECs market share. I wouldn’t call them stupid as they know exactly what they are doing.

Dont worry about LGO ……… Whining Froths latest slanderous bear cast was wrong ……….. he does not understand nominal value of shares …………. The bill to Trinity was settled at the market price for LGO shares on the day ( circa 0.42p ) and not at 0.05p as Tom said ( that is the nominal share price ) therefore he wrongly deduced the company shares were worthless. What is he like ?
