We do not normally run adverts on this website for commercial enterprises but I was just wondering where to take the Mrs on a romantic weekend when a kind shareholder in Sefton Resources (SER) sent me this archived link to a charming little B&B, sometimes described - innacurately - as a castle in the Malvern hills. Apparently it is run by an elderly couple but the young son earns a bit of pocket money doing the washing up and helping out now and again.

Place looks quite charming…..I presume the lady in one of pics is mummy Williams she actually looks very sweet and Innocent old lady (shame about the son!)
Taking this was 4 years ago pic she must be a very mature lady by now so I just hope she knows what her ‘naughty little boy’ has been using probably her wealth on!!

You would hate it Tom – you are not even allowed to tab up in the garden. I must say though it does seem very good value for £35 a night, but it is of course being subsidised thanks to the discovery of the North Sea (I always thought the Saxons discovered the North Sea when they invaded and Danes and Norse certainly discovered it when they came to rape and pillage).

Its amazing what you can do with the right camera angles, the pics taken on the roof by Mr Oil certainly had me fooled . My imagination added a moat drawbridge and ramparts and visions of Mr Oil jousting his fellow knights on his trusty white stallion, Excalibur in hand as he slices the heads of his detractors. Never mind at least it looks like a nice b&b for a weekend away from my grim north council house, maybe Chris helps wash the dishes and make the beds ?
